The Cyberpunk 2077 has collected almost 1M viewers

The new game by CD Project RED “disturbs” fans for a very long time. The recent game delay has upset the gamers, but a new presentation, that was held a few days earlier, revived the interest.

The showcase lasted less than an hour. 865K people watched Cyberpunk 2077 Night City Wire at the peak, and 535K viewers watched the stream on average.

The majority of the views are from Twitch. In contrast to other presentations, the main broadcast of the studio was on the Amazon platform. For comparison, the YouTube peak is only 235K viewers, which is only 33% of Twitch's peak. The Facebook and Mixer contribution didn’t worth mentioning at all.

Based on the peak viewers’ mark, English (617K), Russian (54K), and French (38K) became the Top-3 most popular languages. The native CD Project’s language (Polish) is in the 8th position with the results of 15K viewers.

We should note that this result was much lower than the recent presentation by Sony or the announcement of XBOX Series X. However, the showcase was about only one game. Therefore, the results of CD Project RED are very good.

We shouldn’t forget that nowadays it’s hard to host major events. Because of the Coronavirus pandemic, large studios and publishers had to move their presentations to online, especially under the conditions that the annual E3 event was canceled.

However, the recent news proves that online doesn’t have a negative impact. Many streamers and influencers can’t visit the presentations, so they spend their time on the broadcasts. This, of course, leads to an increase in the viewership statistics.

During the whole showcase, the studio showed new gameplay and gave a small sneak-peek of the open world of Cyberpunk 2077. Apart from that, the media was allowed to spread the info about the game, so numerous first impressions from people who tried Cyberpunk appeared on the net.

It should be noted that many people were glad about the fact, that the game will receive its animated series. Its creators are TRIGGER, who created such iconic works as NGE, Gurren Lagann, and Kill la Kill. The process will be supported by Netflix. According to the statement, the new series has been under development for quite a long time and promises to be interesting.

The game itself, if nothing changes, will be released November 19 this year. The release date has been changed several times, and there is no guarantee that this situation won’t happen again. Only one thing is certain - it is done to improve the quality of the project.

The presentation of Cyberpunk 2077 turned out to be interesting, despite its short duration. We hope that the game will fulfill all expectations and we’ll see the new legendary game, as it happened with The Witcher trilogy.
