EPL Season 10: Results of the regular stage

Posted Dec 01, 2019

The regular stage of the ESL Pro League CS: GO Season 10 has ended in the second half of November. The organizers have selected 16 world's best teams out of four regional championships. But how many viewers have been watching the progression of these teams towards the finals?

In total, 4 tournaments took place within the Season 10. The event was divided into competitions for America, Europe, Asia and Oceania. Nearly all the quotas were given to the western leagues, while the eastern part of the hemisphere got only two spot.

We will compare the results of the regular stage based on two key indicators: peak viewers and average viewers. In this case, the results for the hours watched vary enormously due to the large difference in airtime.

First, let's take a look at the peak viewers results of the regular stage of ESL Pro League Season 10. European Championship is the winner of this ranking, gathering 188 thousand peak viewers. The least watched event was the one for Oceania – gathering only 19 thousand people.

Overall, the situation is obvious, given that Europe and America keep dominating due to the high popularity of discipline in these corners of the world. Eastern gaming is currently more centered on the strategies and mobile esports representatives.

Additionally, the average viewer ranking shows us the exact same situation.

The ESL Pro League Season 10 Europe is once again at the top, but this time by the average broadcast viewers. The championship for teams from Oceania earns the last spot once again as well.

Such balance of powers also explains the regional distribution of quotas. Indeed, the end of the season saw only one spot being allocated for Asia (as well as for Oceania). On the other hand, we have 7 spots allocated for Europe and America.

The Russian-language broadcast on ESL Pro League Season 10 Oceania and ESL Pro League Season 10 Asia was quite interesting, given the achievement of 4 to 6 thousand average viewers for either championship.

On the other hand, the English-language broadcast of this season has almost single-handedly secured the top spot for itself. This stream has failed to become the first only on Oceania and ESL Pro League Season 10 Americas – where it was outmatched by the Portuguese broadcast.

What about the most popular teams? In Europe, guys from Natus Vincere got the first spot in terms of popularity. In America, Made in Brazil were at the top. Representatives of TyLoo received the Asia ranking's gold, while in Oceania this medal went to ORDER.
