Starcraft II is a popular sci-fi real-time strategy game developed by Blizzard which was released worldwide on July 27, 2010. This game is based on one of the most classical RTS in a world history — StarCraft: Brood War, but in the same time it has it’s own mechanics and ideas. In Starcraft II you can play as one of three races: Terrans (humans), Protoss (high developed aliens) or Zerg (aliens with huge adaptation capacity), main goal of each session is to destroy buildings and army of your opponents.
Starcraft II as a genre of real time strategies was the most popular Esports discipline for a very long time, but after League of Legends and Dota 2 released RTS audience started to diminish rapidly. Right now Starcraft II is just a shadow of former greatness, despite this the game still has big community and huge amount of professional players and tournaments.
