Team Flash triumphs in AoG Winter Split amid strong viewership
The latest season of Arena of Glory, the Vietnamese professional league for Arena of Valor, concluded on November 2. Two familiar names meeting in the Grand Finals meant that it continued the series' recent livestreaming gains and ended among its most successful events by livestream viewership.
The Arena of Glory Winter 2025 brought together eight teams as they duked it out for four spots at the Arena of Valor International Championship 2025. Held in Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi, it also carried a prize pool of around $228,000, with the winner becoming richer by about $68,400.
This A-Tier competition saw a Grand Final between two of the league's most popular and successful sides, Saigon Phantom and Team Flash, for a second straight split. This time, it was the latter that emerged victorious, winning its first domestic league title since 2021 to complete a redemption story that saw it endure a few inconsistent years in the interim.

The final match also happened to be the tournament's most popular, reaching 803,320 Peak Viewers (PV), with no other game crossing 530,000 peak live viewers. This made it the second most popular event in the Arena of Glory series, behind only the Arena of Glory Spring 2025, with the spring split benefiting from Team Flash's first Grand Finals appearance in four years.
The Arena of Glory Winter 2025 also became the fifth competition in the series to pass the 20 million Hours Watched (HW) milestone. The 22.5 million watch hours it accumulated put it in the fourth spot on the all-time leaderboard, with the spring split earlier this year on top.

Most-watched and popular Arena of Glory events
The last two Arena of Glory splits have followed an almost identical script, ending with a summit clash with the ideal opponents to reach record livestreaming numbers. Saigon Phantom, the series' most dominant team, and Team Flash, one of the game's most legendary names, remain the biggest draws in Vietnam's Arena of Valor esports scene.
This can also be seen in the fact that their clashes filled the table for the most popular matches at this Arena of Valor competition. An additional group stage that was introduced in 2024 has seen participants, especially the big names, battle multiple times within the same season, undoubtedly helping these two giants meet more often and piquing audience interest each time.

What has also helped maintain steady viewership numbers throughout these two events is the growth of TikTok as a broadcasting medium in Southeast Asia. The service has firmly entrenched itself as the Arena of Glory audience's second most preferred platform, with its peak live viewership growing by around 9.64% between the Spring and Winter splits. The 271,213 PV was also a new Arena of Valor esports record for the Vietnamese language on TikTok.
The Arena of Glory Winter 2025 continued to push Arena of Valor as one of the top mobile esports games in the world. The passion of Southeast Asia fans, especially in regions like Vietnam and Thailand, has helped give it an edge in a genre where there is no shortage of competitors.
Its completion has also given fans the entire line-up of participants at the Arena of Valor International Championship 2025. The biggest event for the game's esports scene will have no Indonesian teams for the first time due to the discontinuation of the Star League.
It will be held in two Vietnamese cities, Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi, from November 17 to December 7. Esports Charts will cover the event and provide updates to readers regarding any viewership milestones or shock results, which they can access in our News section.
