The Evolution Championship Series 2023 will also host many community showcase tournaments. Players will compete in BlazBlue: Central Fiction, Capcom vs SNK 2, Guilty Gear Xrd REV 2, Soulcalibur VI, Persona 4 Arena Ultimax, Vampire Savior and more. These tournaments are classified as amateur events — they usually have small prize pools, but the winners also receive EVO medals.

Last year, the EVO 2022 series tournaments attracted more than 250K Peak Viewers. The most popular tournament was Street Fighter V, and its final match between American player iDom and Japanese player Kawano gathered the most viewers.
