Mid-Season Invitational 2023 sets series record for concurrent viewership
Almost 2.29 million viewers watched the match between T1 and JD Gaming in the upper bracket final of the Mid-Season Invitational 2023. This is the best result in the history of the tournament series. The previous record was 2.19 million at the MSI 2022 finals between T1 and Royal Never Give Up. And this is not the only new record League of Legends set during the tournament.

In the upper bracket final, T1 lost to JD Gaming 2-3 and fell to the lower bracket. Faker team will face off against the winner of the pair Bilibili Gaming and Gen.G, and if it wins, it will try to take revenge on JD Gaming in the decisive match of the tournament.

In terms of audience distribution of the JD Gaming vs. T1 match by platform, YouTube had the most viewers, with about 971K Peak Viewers. In second place is Twitch, and AfreecaTV is in third place.
The Mid-Season Invitational 2023 final takes place on May 21 at the Copper Box Arena in London. The total prize pool of the tournament is $250K, and the winner will receive $50K.
