In June, esports fans closely followed competitions in Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, Valorant, Counter-Strike, and League of Legends. The event that garnered the most attention was MPL Indonesia Season 13. Additionally, IEM Dallas 2024 became the most popular tournament among all events of its series held in the city.

The most popular esports tournament in June was the regional league MPL Indonesia Season 13. Its grand final between EVOS Glory and Fnatic ONIC was watched by over 2.22 million Mobile Legends: Bang Bang fans simultaneously. While this viewership is impressive compared to other disciplines, it is not a record for the MPL Indonesia series. Season 13 achieved the fourth-highest viewership in the league's history, making it the most popular season in the last year and a half.

The second spot in the rankings went to the Korean league LCK Summer 2024, which features the world's top League of Legends teams. Although the season is far from over, it already surpassed 1 million peak viewers in June. This milestone was achieved during a first-week match between fierce rivals T1 and Gen.G. It's also worth noting that the LCK's spring season set a record for the league, with the grand final drawing over 2.6 million peak viewers.

VCT 2024: Masters Shanghai ranked third with a peak viewership of 914,000, achieved during the grand final between Team Heretics and Gen.G. However, this number is significantly lower than that of Masters Madrid, which took place in March. The reasons for this difference are discussed in another article of ours.

Intel Extreme Masters Dallas 2024 attracted over 823,800 concurrent viewers, placing it fourth in the June rankings. This large audience tuned in for the grand final between G2 Esports and Team Vitality, where Team Niko won 2-1. This viewership far surpassed previous IEM tournaments held in Dallas, nearly doubling the last viewership peak record.

The fifth spot in the rankings went to the Arena of Valor Premier League 2024. Although the season is not yet finished and several key playoff matches are still to be played, the league has already attracted just over 713,000 peak viewers. The Premier League 2024 still has a chance to set a new series record by surpassing last year's tournament, which had a peak viewership of 974,600.

Among English-speaking audiences in June, traditional PC games like Counter-Strike and Valorant remained the most popular. The top three events were IEM Dallas 2024, VCT Masters Shanghai, and BLAST Premier: Spring Final 2024, which featured a grand final between Natus Vincere and Team Spirit.

In terms of mobile esports, MPL Indonesia Season 13 was the only event to make it into the top five most popular events on English-language streams. The league attracted around 294,000 English-speaking viewers at its peak, while its overall peak viewership was almost ten times higher.

The most popular events among Portuguese-speaking audiences were tournaments and leagues featuring Brazilian teams. The top spot went to the CBLOL Split 2 2024 league, with the opening match between paiN Gaming and LOUD drawing over 227,900 League of Legends fans simultaneously.

Approximately 224,500 viewers tuned in to watch the match between LOUD and EG in the regional VCT 2024: Americas League - Stage 2, making it the second most popular event in this language segment in June.

The top five also included two Free Fire championships: CPN XII and Esmerald Cup - Season 3. This battle royale game is highly popular in Brazil, partly due to LOUD's success in international tournaments.

In June, the top list of the most popular esports channels on Twitch featured a mix of official tournament organizers' channels and community caster channels. The eslcs channel led the pack, which peaked at over 190,000 viewers during the IEM Dallas 2024 final broadcast.

Second place in the rankings went to the American streamer Tarik, renowned as the most popular Valorant community caster. His stream of the VCT Masters Shanghai final drew 141,800 simultaneous viewers, marking it as Tarik's most successful broadcast in the second quarter of 2024.

Also notable among the most popular esports channels in June were blastpremier and otplol_, covering the BLAST Premier: Spring Final 2024 and LEC Summer 2024 matches, respectively. A special mention goes to the French streamer Gotaga, who covered the RLCS 2024 - Major 2 London matches. His stream of the game featuring his team Gentle Mates Alpine vs Team Falcons attracted over 120,000 viewers, ranking it as Gotaga's third most popular broadcast of 2024 to date.
