Many LoL regional leagues and Valorant Champions 2022 came to an end in September, as well as ESL Pro League Season 16, Worlds 2022 and ML:BB leagues matches. In a new Esports Charts article, we will tell you about the tournament that topped the month by Peak Viewers, and which event was the most popular with English-speaking viewers.

VALORANT Champions 2022 became the most popular tournament in September, drawing a record 1.5 million Peak Viewers in the discipline reached at the Grand Final between LOUD and OpTic Gaming. More details about the championship results are available in our overview.

MPL Indonesia Season 10 is in second place by PV, with its key Group Stage matches in September. The event had 1.37 million PV last month reached at the RRQ Hoshi vs. ONIC Esports match (two of the league's most popular teams) held in the fifth week of the regular season.

The Top 3 most popular tournaments of the first month of Fall with a 1.1 million PV is rounded out by Worlds 2022. The Worlds 2022 Championship kicked off on September 29th and achieved a high ranking place owing to its opening match (Fnatic vs. Evil Geniuses).

LEC Summer 2022, LoL's second-highest-ranked regional league, is the fourth-highest-ranked event of the month. The tournament's Grand Final between G2 Esports and Rogue drew more than 732.5K PV. Check out our Top of regional LoL leagues of the year in our overview.

The Top 5 most popular tournaments of the month is closed by MPL Philippines Season 10, ending, like the Indonesian league, on October 23. The event reached 496.6K PV in September at Blacklist International vs. Omega PH Esports match in Week 5 of the regular season.

VALORANT Champions 2022 also became the most popular tournament of the month with English-speaking viewers. More than 644K PV in the language segment watched the Grand Final of the championship.

Second in this ranking is LEC Summer 2022. The Grand Final also became the most popular match of the event, watched by more than 473K English-speaking PV. Worlds 2022 is in third place among the September tournaments watched by English-speaking viewers. The Fnatic vs. EG match, the first game of the event, saw the PV number 465.3K people.

LCS Summer 2022 and MPL Indonesia Season 10 are also in the Top 5. The most popular game in the North American LoL is the Grand Final between Cloud9 and 100 Thieves, which was watched by more than 366.5K English-speaking PV. The Indonesian ML:BB league drew nearly 311K PV English broadcasts in September at the RRQ Hoshi vs. Alter Ego match in Week 7 of the regular season.

Riot Games became the most popular Twitch channel for broadcasting esports tournaments in September. It reached over 358.2K PV at the Isurus vs. MAD Lions Lions match on Worlds 2022 Day 1. In second place by this metric is the official LEC channel, which attracted over 344K PV at the Summer Split Grand Finals.

The Top 3 esports channels in September is rounded out by the official VALORANT channel that drew more than 287.2K PV at the decisive match of Valorant Champions 2022. The official LCS channel is in fourth place, with more than 223.8K PV at the Summer Split Grand Final. ESL_CS:GO is also in the Top 5 with 201.8K PV watching the ESL Pro League Season 16 quarterfinals match between G2 and NAVI.

We should mention that if we had included streamer tournaments in the ranking, auronplay would have taken fifth place among the channels. The streamer attracted 223.5K PV broadcasting the Twitch Rivals RingCraft ft. TheGrefG event.
