Most viewed Twitch esports clips 2025

Esports lives in moments. Some are defined by incredible plays or championship-deciding clutches, others by unexpected reactions, funny callouts or scenes that instantly become memes. Clips capture all of it, turning long broadcasts into short, replayable snapshots that fans keep sharing, revisiting, and debating long after the match itself is over.

Naturally, most of those moments live on Twitch. As the platform where the majority of esports broadcasts happen in real time, Twitch has become the place where highlights spread fastest — clipped straight from live streams and passed around communities almost instantly.

With that in mind, it’s time to look back at the year’s biggest esports moments on Twitch. From #10 to #1, here are the most-watched esports clips of the year, counting down the moments that resonated the most with viewers.

#10 - magixx being brutally honest

#10 opens the ranking with a moment that aged beautifully. During BLAST Bounty Spring 2025, in the match between NAVI and Team Spirit, the broadcast cut to a short interview break between maps. Asked how confident Spirit felt on Ancient, Boris "magixx" Vorobyev didn’t exactly sell optimism. His answer landed somewhere between brutal honesty and deadpan self-irony, instantly setting chat on fire.

What makes the clip even better is everything that followed. Ancient turned into an absolute marathon, packed with tension and a string of overtimes that tested everyone’s nerves. And despite the gloomy prediction, Team Spirit somehow pushed through and came out on top.

#9 - broky stealing the round

At #9, we’ve got a classic reminder of why skipping corner checks is a terrible life choice. During a matchup between FaZe Clan and NAVI at BLAST Open Fall 2025 qualifier, Helvijs "broky" Saukants caught Aleksi "Aleksib" Virolainen at exactly the wrong moment. One unchecked angle was all it took for the situation to spiral out of control.

After slipping past Aleksib unnoticed, broky turned the round into a highlight reel. Two NAVI players were picked off in quick succession with crisp AWP shots, caught completely off guard, before broky calmly dealt with the final opponent to seal the play. Clean positioning, perfect timing and ruthless punishment — a textbook example of what happens when you forget to clear your corners.

#8 - Punk sends a message to Dominican FGC

At #8, the spotlight shifts away from pure gameplay and straight into fighting game culture. After FlyQuest’s win over Bandits in the Street Fighter League Pro-US, Victor "Punk" Woodley took the mic and delivered a post-match speech that instantly escaped the broadcast and took on a life of its own. Aimed at the Dominican FGC community that makes up much of Bandits’ fanbase, the message landed somewhere between playful provocation and genuine competitive fire.

Trash talk has always been part of the fighting game ecosystem, and Punk leaned into it perfectly. The speech wasn’t about disrespect as much as asserting dominance, drawing a line and reminding everyone that confidence is as much a weapon as execution.

#7 - Casters firing shots at HasanAbi

At #7, we’ve got a caster moment that proves esports commentary will never miss a chance to jump on a meme. During the CS Asia Championships 2025 match between GamerLegion and Lynn Vision, the action briefly took a back seat after a rare taser frag hit the killfeed. What followed was obvious: a callout everyone knew was coming.

The casters couldn’t resist and dropped a reference to Hasan "HasanAbi" Piker, who had recently become the internet’s favorite punching bag thanks to a situation involving his dog, Kaya. The joke landed immediately, chat exploded, and the clip spread far beyond the match itself. A perfect example of how even the smallest in-game moment can turn into a viral hit when esports, timing, and internet culture collide.

#6 - EmiliaQAQ gives an iconic interview

At #6, we’ve got a moment that felt like the setup to a joke — and then instantly became one of the most memorable interviews of the year. After BLAST.tv Austin Major 2025, Lynn Vision secured their spot in the third group stage, the broadcast cut to a post-match interview with Tang "EmiliaQAQ" Junjie, conducted by the Brazilian casting team led by Gaules. Different regions, different styles one shared live moment — and chat immediately knew something special was happening.

What followed was pure, unfiltered esports comedy. EmiliaQAQ’s responses instantly became iconic, charming, awkward, and endlessly quotable in the best possible way. The clip didn’t need context, analysis or even subtitles: it spread on vibes alone. Fenk you.

#5 - Falcons lose an ‘impossible-to-lose’ round

At #5, the mood shifts from jokes to pure heartbreak. During BLAST.tv Austin Major 2025, one of the most dramatic moments of the year unfolded in Stage 2, and unfortunately for them, Team Falcons were right at the center of it. With qualification within reach, the star-studded lineup found itself in a position that should have sealed the map and the series.

All Falcons needed was to close out a 5v3 bomb defense on Inferno. On paper, it was the kind of round teams practice closing in their sleep. In reality, it turned into a slow-motion collapse. Mistakes piled up, the round slipped away and with it went the map, the series, and Falcons’ Major run. The aftermath made the moment hit even harder: early elimination, stunned reactions and Nikola "NiKo" Kovač once again leaving a Major without the trophy that continues to elude him. A brutal reminder that in Counter-Strike, nothing is ever guaranteed until the round is truly over.

#4 - Team Liquid’s first RWF win of 2025

At #4, the ranking takes a turn into unexpected territory — World of Warcraft. While it may not look like a traditional esport, the game has long had one of the most demanding competitive formats out there, and the Race to World First sits at the very top. This clip captures the exact moment when Team Liquid became the first guild in the world to defeat the final raid boss, officially ending days of nonstop progression and pressure at the highest level.

What follows is pure, unfiltered emotion. Weeks of preparation, countless wipes and marathon raid sessions instantly give way to disbelief, shouting and celebration as the realization sinks in that the race is finally over. And in hindsight, it only became more iconic: that victory kicked off a streak, with Team Liquid going on to claim two more Race to World First wins later in 2025.

#3 - oxygeN’s highly suspicious moment

At #3, the ranking veers away from a classic highlight and straight into controversy. During a CCT Series match against Partizan Esports, Bulgarian player Blagoy "oxygeN" Dimitrov produced a sequence of mouse movements that instantly raised eyebrows. Sharp, erratic and hard to explain, the moment quickly escaped the broadcast and landed right in the middle of an already highly opinionated Balkan CS community — with the wider Counter-Strike fanbase close behind.

What followed was exactly what you’d expect. Clips were slowed down, dissected frame by frame, and debated endlessly, with accusations flying and opinions hardening by the minute. The moment stuck around far longer than the match itself, especially given what came next: Oxygen’s last recorded appearances with a team came in July 2025, after which he remained a free agent. Was it just an unfortunate clip taken out of context, or something more?

#2 - s1mple’s back

At #2, it was impossible to ignore the moment. Oleksandr "s1mple" Kostyliev’s summer loan to FaZe Clan was already one of the loudest esports stories of the year, so when the legend finally delivered his first real highlight in new colors, the community was always going to react. The clip instantly spread, fueled as much by symbolism as by the play itself.

The moment came at IEM Dallas 2025, where s1mple picked up four AWP kills on Mirage, three of them in rapid succession. By his own historic standards, this wasn’t one of those gravity-defying sequences he used to produce in bulk. But that almost made it better. It wasn’t about peak s1mple, it was about s1mple again: landing shots, taking space and reminding everyone that even a “regular” highlight from a legend still hits different.

#1 - Ultimate’s patience that backfired

At #1, and by a huge margin in views, we’re talking about one of the most infamous esports mishaps of the year. During a match featuring Team Liquid, Roland "ultimate" Tomkowiak delivered a moment that instantly cemented itself in highlight history — not for brilliance, but for sheer disbelief.

At first, it almost looked clever. Ultimate found himself completely unchecked as The MongolZ moved onto the B site on Mirage. Instead of shooting, he chose patience, hoping to gather information and set up something bigger. What followed was pure nightmare fuel. His teammate was picked off first, while Ultimate remained frozen, still holding fire. Moments later, the opponents accidentally spotted him, and that was the end of it. Zero shots fired, maximum damage done. The round collapsed, the casters lost their minds and the clip exploded across the community.
