OpTic Warzone 2.0 – First Tournament in New Battle Royale and a Lot of Top Streamers
Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0 was released on November 16, and the first tournament of the game was held less than a week later. The organizer of the $100K event was an American esports organization OpTic Gaming. In our new article Esports Charts tells how OpTic Warzone 2.0 Tournament went, how many viewers it managed to attract, and which streamers were the most popular.
There were two events during the OpTic Warzone 2.0 Tournament. The first was only for streamers and the prize pool totaled $25K. 16 popular Warzone creators took part in it, including DrDisrespect, CouRage, Vikkstar, Symfuhny and others. The tournament champion and winner of $15K became the duet of Daltoosh & Cloakzy. Vikkstar & BennyCentral and DrDisrespect & CouRage also entered the top 3 and won $7K and $3K, respectively.

Qualifiers for the second event with a prize pool of $75K took place on the same day. 32 teams of two players each participated in the qualifiers, among them were both professional Warzone players and creators from esports organizations. According to the qualifiers results 16 duos made it to the second event of OpTic Warzone 2.0.
The second tournament itself started the next day, its champion and $35K winner was the duo of Warsz & zColorss. Duos of Jukeyz & Lenun and Huskerrs & Newbz also entered the top 3, winning $15K and $10K, respectively.
Viewership Statistics
OpTic Warzone 2.0 Tournament games totaled 18 hours on air. During this time, the event broadcasts accumulated more than 1.95 million Hours Watched with 108.5K Average Viewers. Peak Viewers numbers were reached during the streamer event for $25K and this metric was equal to 261.5K viewers.

The most popular OpTic Warzone 2.0 Tournament creator was DrDisRespect. His broadcast attracted 64.15K Peak Viewers and amassed more than 17% of the total event's Hours Watched. The creator participated only in the streamer tournament for $25K and spent less than 7 hours on air.
Two other streamer tournament participants, Vikkstar123 and Symfuhny, also were in the top 3 by Peak Viewers numbers. Their broadcasts accumulated 28.85K and 26.45K simultaneous viewers respectively. The second place by Hours Watched was taken by Symfuhny with 8.5% of the total tournament numbers. Top 3 was rounded out by Huskerrs, a $75K event participant whose viewers generated less than 8% of the total Hours Watched of the entire OpTic Warzone 2.0 Tournament.


Most Popular Warzone Tournaments in 2022
OpTic Warzone 2.0 ranked among the top 2 most popular tournaments of the year by Peak Viewers numbers in CoD: Warzone, falling 11% behind World Series of Warzone 2022 NA Finals. Meanwhile, the event was the leader by Hours Watched and was in the top 2 by the length of time on air, following only Swagg's race to PC lasting 40 minutes more. Notably, OpTic Warzone 2.0 became the most successful tournament organized by OpTic Gaming.

Overall, the first Warzone 2.0 event showed good statistics, but didn't create a wild hype. Despite the fact that OpTic Warzone 2.0 was one of the most popular tournaments in 2022, it barely made it into the top 20 tournaments of all time in the history of the discipline.
