RLCS 2021-22 Spring Split Major recap: results and viewership statistics
Rocket League Championship Series 2021-22 — Spring Split Major took place in London from June 29 to July 3. Prize pool of the last tournament of the current season featured both $300K and ranking points, which are required to qualify for the Rocket League Championship Series 2021-22 — World Championship, the final event of the RLCS esports season.
The spring split featured 16 teams from Europe, the USA, Brazil, and other regions. The event was held at the multifunctional sports complex Copper Box Arena. Representatives of top esports clubs: G2 Esports, FaZe Clan, Team Liquid, OpTic Gaming, Karmine Corp, and other organizations were among the participants. Two little-known teams made it to the final: Team Falcons from Saudi Arabia and the European roster of the American organization Moist Esports. The latter was founded by the popular streamer Cr1TiKaL (10.7M YouTube subscribers and 4.2M Twitch followers).
In the decisive match, Moist Esports defeated Team Falcons in two best-of-7 series (4:3 and 4:0). The winner earned $90K while the silver medalist received $60K.

RLCS 2021-22 Spring Split Major matches were covered in 13 languages, including French, German, Portuguese, Japanese, and Arabic, but English-language broadcasts were the most popular ones. In total, tournament generated 3.8M Hours Watched and attracted 255.1K Peak Viewers, which reached during the final match between Moist Esports and Team Falcons. The broadcasts attracted 131.6K Average Viewers.

The RLCS 2021-22 Spring Split was remembered not only by the spectacular matches and unexpected match outcomes, but also by the sheer level of attention from community casters, as the tournament was covered on more than 40 channels in total. When it comes to the unofficial broadcasts, the largest audience was attracted by Cr1TiKal (69.4K Peak Viewers) and the French streamer Kamet0 (57.8K), the owner of Karmine Corp.

If we compare the spring major with the winter and autumn majors, the tournament is inferior to the past events of the season both in terms of Hours Watched and Peak Viewers. The spring split surpassed the winter split only by Average Viewers. The most watched tournament of the discipline is still the RLCS 2021-22 Fall Split Major (4.8M Hours Watched), while the RLCS Season 8 World Championship is the most popular one (280,495 Peak Viewers).

At the end of the tournament season, the Rocket League Championship Series 2021-22 — World Championship will be held by the Psyonix company. This year's World Championship will be held on August 4-14 in Fort Worth, USA. The Dickies Arena will be the host venue for the event, and the prize pool will be over $2M.
