The most popular streamers of May

Jun 03, 2019 3 leitura min

In May, the ranks of some of the well-known users have gone through a slight readjustment. This has happened due to a number of reasons – such as the sudden announcement of the classic World of Warcraft version beta testing. As a result, this has allowed two of the most popular streamers of the respective section to enter the top 5 most popular streamers of the platform. The breakthrough of dota2ruhub can also be noted, but we will talk about this in another article.

The Fortnite streamers can be again found at the top of our ranking. Tfue and Ninja were occupied with this year's World Championship's qualifier matches. The former was able to attract more than a million unique viewers during one of his competitive streams. Additionally, he has peaked at 255 thousand viewers – which is more than some of the official broadcasts of major championships.

The two subsequent spots are occupied by a WoW-related duo, namely Sodapoppin and Asmongold. The beta testing of the popular MMO's classic version has allowed them to enter top 5 most popular channels. Unlike his counterpart, Soda had already reached the top once this year. In March, his broadcasts made him the fifth most popular Twitch streamer.

Completing this ranking is the well-known Shroud, whose channel was once again engaged in a variety of games. Just like the months before, Mike simply plays the video games suiting his interests, rather than trying to focus on something popular.

The Russian-language part of the platform has also undergone some changes. For starters, it is worth noting that dota2ruhub has collected more viewhours than the rest of the top 5 combined. The popularity of this game in this particular region is quite amazing.

C_A_K_E and Bratishkinoff have again broke into the top 5. Both were already featured in our ranking, with Cake taking the fifth spot in March while Bratishkin occupied that same spot in February.

At the top of the list of the most popular Russian-language channels is stray228. Once again, we'd like to emphasize the popularity of Dota in the region – which is what allows this particular streamer to keep his spot in the top 5 for several months in a row. This behavior is similar to that of ybicanoooobov, who has also remained in the top 5 – despite only concentrating on the Valve's game.

At the same time, the SilverName channel stands out due to the stability shown. Vlad has reached the top once more. This was facilitated by a variety of broadcasts, as well as by the recent participation of the player in the main HearthStone competition. Such a feat wasn't entirely beneficial for the streamer, given the resulting decrease in his overall airtime.
