Summer and early autumn featured dozens of major esports tournaments in CS:GO, League of Legends, Valorant, and mobile disciplines. Esports Charts lists the most watched teams and organizations in Q3, 2021.
Disclaimer: The ranking is based on the total Hours Watched that viewers have spent on esports matches during the specified period. The calculations did not include statistics from Chinese streaming services and Battle Royale games.

Team Liquid dropped from the first to the fifth spot in the ranking of the most popular esports organizations, gaining 21M Hours Watched in Q3, 2021. Over the course of three months, the club’s teams specializing in different disciplines played more than 150 matches (the highest indicator in the ranking) with the CS:GO roster (which participated in BLAST Premier: Fall Groups 2021 and ESL Pro League Season 14) being responsible for the largest contribution – 35% of the total amount. Meanwhile, the League of Legends roster accounted for 21% of the total, but this should change in Q4 as the team is now competing at Worlds 2021.
The fourth spot was taken by Natus Vincere with 22.3M Hours Watched. The CS:GO team is currently the club’s main asset in terms of viewership statistics – contributing more than 91% to the total amount! NAVI took part in all major tournaments of the discipline, won IEM Cologne 2021, ESL Pro League Season 14 as well as won the third season of the ESL Grand Slam, for which the club received $1M.
Fnatic took the third spot with 22.5M Hours Watched. More than 52% of the total amount was contributed by the club's League of Legends team, which reached the grand final of the LEC Summer 2021. Interestingly, in Q3, Fnatic's Dota 2 roster turned out to be more successful in terms of views than the CS:GO team (15% versus 12%).
The second spot went to the flagship of the Korean esports scene: T1, which scored 25.2M Hours Watched. As in the case of NAVI, it was one of the club’s most popular teams – the League of Legends roster (which finished second at LCK Summer 2021 and for the first time in two years passed to Worlds) that contributed to the total amount the most. The Dota 2 team (which is currently playing at The International 10) was responsible for yet another 15% of the total.
G2 Esports became the leader in Q3 with 28.8M Hours Watched. Normally, the club's League of Legends generated the biggest hype – but this time, the LoL roster (which did not make it to Worlds for the first time in a while) accounted for only 24% of the total amount. Meanwhile, it was the Valorant roster that became the most popular team of the club (39%) and took the 3rd-4th spot at the VCT Masters Berlin, followed by the CS:GO team (29%), which will soon start its performance at PGL Major Stockholm.
It should be noted that, compared to Q2, only Team Liquid and G2 Esports remained in the top 5 – while DAMWON KIA, EVOS, and Execration dropped out of the ranking.

The CS:GO roster of NAVI became the most popular esports team in July-September with over 20.2M Hours Watched. As we have already noted, the team displays an outstanding performance this season and generates over 90% of the Hours Watched for their organization in total across all teams in the club.
The second spot is occupied by the League of Legends roster of T1 with 19.9M Hours Watched. The team is surely about to reach an even more impressive viewer count in Q4. It should be reminded that the very first match of the club at Worlds 2021 attracted over 2.2M Peak Viewers – which is the current tournament record.
The 3rd to 5th spots are occupied by three Indonesian teams in the mobile game Mobile Legends: Bang Bang. EVOS Legends, RRQ Hoshi and Alter Ego scored 11.9 - 13.6M Hours Watched each, with most of this amount being amassed during a single tournament – the largest Asian ML:BB league (MPL Indonesia Season 8), which has been leading in the esports industry in terms of Peak Viewership for two months in a row.
