Call of Duty: Warzone — Overview of the Biggest December Events

In the first week after the release of the new map, several major streamer tournaments took place in Call of Duty: Warzone. The sponsors of two of them were the media giants UFC and Mountain Dew, who teamed up with the tournament operator Boom TV. Another event was held by FaZe Clan, which is the real personification of streaming and esports. We will tell you how many viewers the competition attracted.

It is noteworthy that the broadcasts of the three championships drew almost the same audience at the peak — in the range of 110K to 118K people. At the same time, Mountain Dew 2v2 Showdown became the leader in Average Viewers with a result of 93K people. One of the reasons for the close attention of the audience was the atypical format of the tournament, in which streamers joined teams and fought two-on-two. Another reason is that the event featured one of the most popular English-speaking creators DrDisRespect.

In addition to popular streamers, the UFC Warzone Pacific Invitational featured former UFC Featherweight champion Max Holloway who actively streams on his YouTube channel. As fighter claimed, Call of Duty is one of his favorite games, so participating in the Warzone tournament was a great pleasure for him.

Another curious fact was that the UFC Warzone Pacific Invitational and FaZe Pacific Pursuit Warzone nevertheless surpassed the Mountain Dew tournament in terms of Peak Viewers. However, 2v2 Showdown streamed only 13 channels on Twitch and only one on YouTube, while the rest of the Call of Duty: Warzone events from the list were broadcast on more than 80 channels.

Also note that only English-language streamers played on Mountain Dew 2v2 Showdown. In turn, the UFC Warzone Pacific Invitational and FaZe Pacific Pursuit Warzone featured players from Europe, so matches were broadcast in several languages, including Polish, French and many others.

The most popular streamers of the UFC Warzone Pacific Invitational were DrDisRespect, swagg and aydan, who brought 258K Hours Watched to the tournament in total. It is worth noting that DrDisRespect beat aydan by two times in terms of PV.

The list of the most popular Mountain Dew 2v2 Showdown streamers featured the same creators that topped the list of UFC Invitational. DrDisrespect once again surpassed aydan in terms of PV by two times. Also viewers spent more than 678K hours on the broadcasts of DrDisRespect, swagg and aydan. The Mountain Dew 2v2 Showdown champions were Swagg and GD_booya, while DrDisRespect and ZLaner took second place.

The top three most popular streamers of the FaZe Pacific Pursuit Warzone event included swagg, aydan and huskerrs. Their total figures amounted to 305K HW. At the same time, the difference between the first and second place in terms of PV was only 233 people. What's interesting is that FaZe Pacific Pursuit Warzone event and the UFC Warzone Pacific Invitational were won by the same team, which featured Tommey, Almxnd and Newbz.

Call of Duty: Warzone attracts more and more attention not only from the esports community, but also from companies specializing in various fields. Thanks to new sponsors, tournament organizers get the opportunity to hold increasingly large-scale events with the most popular streamers, who are able to attract a huge audience.
