The World Series of Warzone 2025 - Global Final was held on October 1 in Las Vegas. Pitting the world's best trios against each other, it ended as one of the more popular competitive entries in the series, maintaining the event's stable viewership figures in recent years.

This coveted tournament had a $1 million prize pool, a record for any Warzone event. The 50 top sides from across the world battled for the title of world champion in Call of Duty's battle royale title, with the winner becoming richer by $100,000.

In the end, it was the British trio of Ethan "Fifakill" Pink, Echo1867, and Lennon "Lenun" who triumphed to emerge as the game's newest world champions. Representing the European side Team Visionthey were the only team to accrue over 150 points in the main event, ultimately clinching the title by just over 20 points.

The most popular match came during Round 1, when legendary player and two-time winner Andrew "Biffle" Diaz's retirement announcement preceded a win for Virtus.pro's North American roster. The 247,418 Peak Viewers (PV) this game reached put the 2025 finale in fourth place on the table of the WSOW's most popular events, with the leader being the 2023 edition.

Readers must note that this PV number could have been higher had it not been for a two-and-a-half-hour delay in starting the event. The organizers claimed a tech issue was to blame for this holdup, and it put many prospective viewers and co-streamers off what was undoubtedly an exciting season finale.

When looking at all competitive tournaments held in Warzone, the WSOW 2025 - Global Final just about makes the top five. What's interesting is that most of these top names have come since 2023. Although the WSOW only began in 2022, it shows that there is a space for this battle royale title in a segment full of renowned esports titles competing for the same audience base.

It also helped that this Warzone event got a lot of traction in the community, as seen in the fact that over 320 channels covered the action. Community casting, which has been a big part of the Call of Duty League's recent success, seems to be catching on with the game's battle royale version as well.

After all, names like Seth "Scump" Abner, deusamir, Aydan "Aydan" Conrad, and Thomas "ZooMaa" Paparatto livestreamed the eight rounds. A few of these online personalities even multistreamed across platforms, while a few others were broadcasting their own matches, helping attract more viewers to Warzone's biggest competitive tournament.

All this attention also put the World Series of Warzone 2025 - Global Final among the game's most consistently watched competitions. The 192,385 Average Viewers (AV) it accumulated put it third on this list, with the top two remaining the only entries to pass the 200,000 AV mark.

Another successful season of Warzone has come to an end, with the game's world title heading to Europe for the first time. A tech delay did get things off on a sour note, but Activision will go into the off-season pleased with the year gone by and high hopes for the upcoming season.
