RRQ's new female MLBB roster set to compete in NA with eye on EWC 2026
On May 1, RRQ announced the launch of its female Mobile Legends: Bang Bang roster, with an eye on qualification for the upcoming Esports World Cup 2026.
The new MLBB ladies division for the popular esports organization, RRQ Shira, will compete in North America to secure a ticket to the MLBB Women's International 2026. The world championship of the game's female scene will be held at the EWC 2026 and will be the only event involving women at the Riyadh spectacle.
Who is part of the new RRQ Shira roster?
Two of the biggest names to join the side are Jey "RYLAI" Enriquez and Nicole "Nicholette" Huang, who reached the final of the MWI 2025 as part of Gaimin Gladiators. The duo will bring all its experience and renewed ambition to the RRQ banner as they aim to guide the new team to the year's biggest competition on the MLBB calendar for female pros.
The official roster can be seen below:
- RYLAI (EXP Lane)
- Nicholette (Jungler)
- Ying (Gold Lane)
- JollyBee (Mage)
- Erica (Roamer)
- YQ (Substitute)
Not many details about the side have been revealed by RRQ, but that is sure to change as the side gets more practice under its belt and participates in more MLBB tournaments.
How popular is RRQ among viewers?
The Indonesian multi-gaming organization's male roster is one of the most popular names across titles today. Arguably, the most popular main roster side in men's MLBB esports, RRQ matches regularly attract millions of viewers, with the latest example being the MPL Malaysia Season 17, whose Week 1 viewership soared thanks to the debut of RRQ Tora.
RRQ's fame among Indonesian audiences is such that a deep run at any esports tournament means potential for much higher audience engagement. A look at the Esports Charts database shows that among the ten most popular MLBB matches, the team features in three of them.

In fact, this number would be higher if not for the side's recent struggles in its home MLBB regional league and resultant absence from global championships. After winning four of the first nine seasons to establish itself as a beloved name among fans, RRQ has been unable to win any more Mobile Legends Professional League titles in the subsequent seven editions.
Nevertheless, when it did reach the final over the last seven seasons, that event's viewership has spiked to record-breaking numbers, reiterating its reputation as a guaranteed audience driver.

Seasons 15 and 14 of the MPL Indonesia remain the most popular entries in the history of this top-tier professional league. A big reason for them being the only tournaments to peak over 4 million viewers was RRQ making the Grand Final both times, and thought it lost both times, fans almost willed the side on to end its MPL title drought, leading to milestone livestreaming numbers.
With RRQ Shira set to debut the popular organization in the female side of MLBB esports, there is doubt that fans will follow its journey with high interest. If the side manages to make it to the Esports World Cup 2026, we could see new viewership records fall.
