Road to Esports World Cup 2024 — all teams, tournaments and qualifiers
From June 28th to August 25th, Riyadh will be the site of the grand Esports World Cup 2024. This major festival will feature competitions across 20 titles, with a total prize pool of $60 million. Some teams have already received invites from the organizers, and the rest of the tournament participants are to be determined in regional qualifiers.
Dota 2 (Riyadh Masters 2024)
20 teams will vie for victory in the upcoming Dota 2 tournament. The majority of teams will be selected based on their standings in the EPT Interregional Rankings, which allocate points based on performance in the DreamLeague and ESL One tournaments. The remaining slots will be filled through regional qualifiers, scheduled to run in early June.

Counter-Strike 2 (report)
Fifteen teams are set to compete in the Counter-Strike 2 tournament. Team Spirit and Natus Vincere, champions of IEM Katowice 2024 and PGL Copenhagen Major 2024 respectively, received the first direct invites from the organizers. Seven more slots were awarded to teams according to their standings in the ESL World Ranking, with the remaining spots filled through regional qualifiers.

Overwatch 2 (report)
16 teams will attend the Overwatch 2 tournament. This includes four participants from the Overwatch Champions Series 2024 - Asia Stage 1, the top three teams from the Overwatch Champions Series 2024 Major, and eight teams from the regional FACEIT Masters leagues. The sole direct invitation from the organizers was granted to the Chinese team Once Again.

All teams participating in the League of Legends tournament will receive direct invitates from the organizers. It is expected that the tournament will feature two representatives from each of the LCK, LPL, LEC, and LCS leagues.

At the Rainbow Six Siege championship, Brazil will lead with the most representation, boasting four teams from the region. Meanwhile, both North America and Europe will be represented by three teams each in the tournament.

Half of the teams in the FC24 Esports World Cup will earn their spots through competitions at DreamHack Dallas (2 slots) and DreamHack Summer (6 slots). The rest of the participants will receive direct invitates from the organizers.

Apex Legends (report)
40 teams will battle it out in the upcoming Apex Legends tournament. The bulk of the participants will come from the regional stages of ALGS 2024: Split 1 Pro League. Specifically, each of the North America, Europe, APAC North, and APAC South regions will contribute 8 teams. Furthermore, an additional 8 teams will secure their spots through regional qualifiers, scheduled to run at the end of May.

Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (report)
MLBB Mid Season Cup 2024 will join the Esports World Cup lineup in 2024. This tournament will showcase the top teams from MPL leagues spanning Indonesia, the Philippines, Malaysia, Singapore, and other nations. Invitations will be granted to the best teams of MLBB Continental Championships, MTC Turkiye Championship, and North America Challenger Tournament, alongside the winners of the qualifiers in China and Myanmar. Preceding the main event, a Wild Card stage will take place, where 8 teams will vie for a single spot in the main tournament.

Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Female (report)
As a part of the EWC, a women's tournament for Mobile Legends: Bang Bang will take place. It will include participants from Southeast Asia, along with winners from the ESL Women's League, Copa da Freya, Queen Arena Series, and Lady MVP x CH S4. A total of 12 women's teams will compete in the event.

The HoK Invitational Mid-Season 2024 will be integrated into the Esports World Cup. This tournament will showcase 12 invited teams, among which will be All-Star teams from the Chinese KPL league.

In the PUBG Mobile World Cup 2024, a total of 24 teams will vie for victory. This includes five teams from each of the PMSL Southeast Asia, PMSL CSA, and PMSL EMEA regions, along with four teams from PMSL Americas. The lineup will also feature the champion of the Challengers League, as well as the winners of regional tournaments held in Japan, China, and South Korea. Moreover, organizers will extend two direct invitations to teams that have yet to be announced.

StarCraft II (report)
In the EWC for StarCraft II, 18 players will compete. Direct slots were awarded to winners of the ESL SC2 Masters 2023 Summer and Winter tournaments, along with the top four players from both the ESL SC2 Masters 2024 Spring and IEM Katowice 2024. The participants will include representatives from the EPT Europe, Korea, Asia, and Americas rankings, as well as esports athletes from the global ranking and qualifiers.

The EWC title in Tekken 8 will be up for grabs among the world's top 32 players. The final four slots will be determined during the Riyadh Festival.
