The Delta Force Invitational: Warfare 2025 was held from December 11 to 14 at the Quan Ngua Gymnasium in Hanoi, Vietnam. The first global championship dedicated to the game's Warfare mode brought together eight elite teams from around the world to battle for the ultimate prize.

The final event of the debut competitive season for Delta Force esports carried a prize pool of $200,000, including $60,000 for the winner. Here are all the viewership highlights from this ambitious competition.

The Delta Force Invitational: Warfare 2025 is considered the first-ever world championship for the first-person tactical shooter's Warfare mode. Instead of just receiving direct invitations based on brand name, the participants had to earn their spots through regional qualifiers or dedicated standalone tournaments held throughout the season.

At the end of four days of top-level competition to close out the first Delta Force esports season, ToxidoNxG emerged as the champion. The side beat Teng Long 2:0 in the Grand Final to emerge as the massive-scale, 20 vs 20 game mode's inaugural world champion.

The Delta Force tournament enjoyed a pretty strong response across major livestreaming platforms globally, including Twitch, YouTube, TikTok, Facebook and X, with an emphasis on its spectacle and large-scale combat. It peaked at 33,701 live viewers during the finals, finding the most preferred audience on YouTube, which accounted for almost 73% of its overall watch time.

The 33,000 Peak Viewers (PV) this event reached made it a record for the still fledgling esports title. It just about beat the previous record holder, with the 305,617 Hours Watched (HW) that it recorded, also creating a new milestone, making the Delta Force Invitational: Warfare 2025 the only competition in the title's short history to cross the 300,00 HW mark.

What helped keep audiences engaged throughout was the compact format of the competition. It did not have a Group Stage; instead, it jumped straight into the double-elimination bracket, which also meant that sides could afford a single loss, as it would send them into the lower bracket, where they received another chance at advancing.

Moreover, on the finals day, the Winners and Losers Bracket Finals were held, followed by a halftime show that ensured fans were kept engaged even when there was no in-game action happening. After all this came the Grand Final, with the awarding ceremony for the champions held towards the end.

The inaugural year of competitive Delta Force helped establish a pretty solid base for the game in the wider esports scene. While there was plenty of competition from other shooters and more established games, the title attracted plenty of eyeballs and showed that it could enjoy a bright future.
