September isn’t even over yet, but Kick has already set a new record: with over 6.8 million Hours Watched, it’s the platform’s biggest month ever for esports viewership, and the numbers are expected to climb even higher by month’s end.
Kick has already surpassed its previous record from August by more than 300,000 Hours Watched. The platform continues to grow in esports viewership, and based on preliminary September data, it now holds just under 4% of all live esports watch time. It currently ranks as the fourth-largest platform overall, behind Twitch, YouTube and TikTok.
This month, Kick has streamed several major tournament finals, with standout numbers coming from the Rocket League World Championship, Dota 2’s The International, and various League of Legends events, including Turkey’s TCL, one of the rare competitions where Kick serves as the primary destination for esports fans.
Kick has been steadily growing its esports audience since the summer of 2024, and in September the platform surpassed 1 million Hours Watched of esports content for the first time. Last year, Kick has also established itself as a non-exclusive partner for some major events, including PGL Copenhagen Major 2024 and the fall season of BLAST Premier.
In early July 2025, the Champion of Champions Tour (CCT) confirmed that all of its tournaments would stream exclusively on Kick. The move was part of a broader push for exclusive partnerships, which also extended to the Fragadelphia series: Frag Blocktober 2025 is set for October 2-5, and will be an important event as it marks one of the final chances for teams to earn VRS points and thus qualify for the StarLadder Budapest Major 2025.
