With qualifiers over, focus of 32 finalists shifts to PUBG Global Championship 2023
The various PUBG Global Championship 2023 qualification events have come to a close, and the season now moves closer to the grand finale. Twenty-seven teams from the four regions, plus the host country and top four sides from the two PUBG Global Series combined, have sealed their places at this mega event, and fans can't wait for the action to unfold.
Over the last month, leagues in the various regions were held to see which teams would progress to the most important competition on the annual PUBG esports calendar. As always, the Asian editions outperformed their Western counterparts, although nothing can be certain when it comes to translating such stats into tangible success at the PGC 2023.

PGC 2023's Regional Qualifiers Viewership Results
The PUBG Thailand Series 2023 - Phase 2 was the most successful of the seven tournaments to conclude over the past week, reaffirming the country as a major player in the discipline. It was able to hit 802K Hours Watched, 41K Peak Viewers, and 21K Average Viewers over 37 hours of airtime.
Theerathon Five came out on top to seal its place in the PGC 2023 as the lone Thai representative. It was a closely-fought affair, with the winner topping the table by a single point over the second-placed FW Esports, thanks to a Winner Winner Chicken Dinner in the final round of the event.

Next was the PUBG Vietnam Series 2023: Fall, another major market for the game and one that constantly produces high viewership stats at every event, be it regional or international. From across the two phases of this league, it was Genius Esports and CERBERUS Esports who finished first and second to book their tickets for the season finale.
The PUBG WEEKLY SERIES: KOREA Phase 2 was the third most successful competition, recording 571K HW, 21K PV, and 12K AV over 46 hours of airtime. With Danawa e-sports qualifying via the PUBG Global Series 2023 Phase 2 and also topping the Korea PGC Points table, it was the next four sides — Gen.G Esports, Dplus KIA, Veronica7, and PENTAGRAM — who advanced to the Global Championship.

The American and European leagues displayed uncannily similar viewership numbers, with these two regions being allotted four and six slots, respectively. The only other region to be handed six slots is China, but with 17 Gaming finishing in second on the PGC points table, it will have seven representatives at the event, the most for any region.
