The second Counter-Strike Major of 2026 is heading to Singapore, marking the first time the city-state will host an event of this tier. Romanian tournament organiser PGL confirmed that the Major will run from November 25 to December 13.
“Bringing the first Counter-Strike Major to Singapore is a moment that truly inspires us. This city has been home to some of our most memorable esports events, and we’ve always felt the energy and passion of the fans here. Returning now with a Counter-Strike Major feels like the natural next step. Our goal is to honor the legacy of Counter-Strike by delivering an event worthy of the community’s dedication and love for the game.”
Silviu Stroie, CEO of PGL
PGL Singapore Major 2026 will follow the same structure and $1.25 million prize pool as the 2025 editions. A total of 32 invited teams will battle through three stages and the playoffs, with the champions decided in a best-of-five grand final.
The playoffs will be staged at Singapore Indoor Stadium, which PGL calls “one of Asia’s most recognized venues for live entertainment and sports”. The organiser has not yet revealed where the group stage will take place.
"Singapore has been host to exciting esports events such as The International, the largest DOTA 2 esports event in the world, and we look forward with much anticipation to hosting our first Counter Strike Major in 2026, which will reinforce Singapore as a world-class events destination. As one of the most prestigious tournaments in the Counter Strike scene, the event promises to attract fans from around the region, and we invite them to also enjoy Singapore’s lifestyle experiences and vibrant energy".
Jean Ng, Assistant Chief Executive (Experience Development Group), from the Singapore Tourism Board
PGL Singapore Major 2026 marks the company’s first Major in two years. The previous one, the Copenhagen Major in March 2024, delivered a historic peak: the NAVI vs FaZe grand final drew over 1.8 million concurrent viewers, the third-highest figure ever recorded in Counter-Strike esports.
