The world’s biggest esports events, like Worlds 2023, offer sponsors unique opportunities to reach a wider audience and integrate with the broadcast in unique ways. At Worlds 2023, many sponsors remained the same compared to last year, but other unique integrations for the event found new sponsors or new integrations for the brands.

We already looked at the most-mentioned sponsors during the Play-In Stage of Worlds 2023, now we’ll look at which sponsors have remained the same since Worlds 2022, and which have found new ways to integrate with the official broadcasts of the event.

Some integrations, such as banner overlays, the Rift banners, and ad clips feature many of the sponsors at the Worlds event. These integrations are not owned or used by one specific sponsor for the event but rather feature many of the larger sponsors at the event.
For the League of Legends World Championship, gaming chairs are still supplied by Secretlab, although the chairs at Worlds 2023 now also feature other sponsors, such as the logo of Mercedes-Benz on the Secretlab branded chair.

Two of the major changes at Worlds 2023 are the new sponsors for the Player of the Series award and the sponsorship on the analysis desk. In 2022, OnePlus was the featured sponsor for the Player of the Series award, but in 2023 this was changed to become the Player of the Game award, and the sponsor was updated to Oppo.
At Worlds 2022 the analysis desk featured a small stand with the logo for StateFarm, but in 2023 the analysis desk featured no such obvious advertisement. Instead of having the logo of the analysis desk sponsor on full display, Worlds 2023 chose a less obvious integration.

At the analysis desk of Worlds 2023, they have replaced the centre logo of StateFarm with a small fridge of Red Bull energy drinks off to the left side of the screen. Red Bull is known for this less conspicuous sponsorship integration, having cans of the energy drink lying around the action so the camera is often picking them up.
Other integrations we have not covered, such as the post-game interview sponsor, have stayed the same since last year. Verizon sponsored the post-game interviews at Worlds 2022, and this continued for 2023.
Worlds 2023 comes to an end next Sunday, November 19. Weibo Gaming will face off against the Korean fan-favourite T1 to decide which team will reign as the 2023 world champions. Once the event is over we can analyse the chat of the whole tournament to deliver more key insights into the sponsors and chat dynamics of the tournament. Keep an eye out for new and updated data coming out of the tournament next week.
