Worlds 2021 Finals and PGL Major Stockholm 2021 Semifinals — how many viewers watched both tournaments?
At the beginning of November, two main annual League of Legends and CS:GO championships, Worlds 2021 and PGL Major Stockholm 2021, came to an end. The final match of the first event took place on the 6th of November, and the two semifinals of the major were held at the same time. Esports Charts will tell you how many viewers watched both events simultaneously on Twitch's English, Portuguese and Russian streams.
Disclaimer: tournament audience overlap is based on the number of authorized Twitch users who watched both events; stats based on English, Portuguese, and Russian broadcasts

The Worlds 2021 grand final was held in a best-of-5 format and lasted for all five maps, and PGL Major Stockholm 2021 semi-finals were also held at the same time as Worlds. Most of the English-speaking audience was focused on the League of Legends tournament. However, 93,5K of those who watched Worlds also watched the CS:GO event.
Viewers of the Portuguese-language broadcasts had opposite preferences. Most of them preferred the semi-finals of PGL Major Stockholm 2021. Worlds 2021 had almost half as many viewers as PGL Major semifinals, with a total shared audience of 36,1K (8% of the total Portuguese-speaking audience for both events).
The greatest preponderance in one of the disciplines was among the viewers of Russian-language streams. The PGL Major Stockholm 2021 broadcasts had a great part of the Russian-speaking audience (95%), while Worlds 2021 had less than 4% (shared audience is slightly over 1%).
The Russian-speaking spectators had the smallest audience overlap between the tournaments, only 8,5K people (2% of all the authorized viewers of the two tournaments). This is 11 times fewer than on the English-language streams and 4 times fewer than on the Portuguese-language ones. It is worth taking into account that Natus Vincere and Gambit Esports played in the semi-finals of PGL Major Stockholm 2021 — that's why it was watched by so many viewers from the CIS. This was also due to the small League of Legends fanbase and the high popularity of CS:GO in the region. CIS viewers have also been missing the majors, since the last one in the series took place more than two years ago.
The audience overlap between Worlds 2021 and PGL Stockholm Major 2021 on the Russian and English broadcasts was generally the same as at the other events in 2021. Only the Portuguese-speaking viewers were affected — League of Legends was favored during 2021, but the decisive matches of major attracted more viewers than Worlds.
