Team Flash's revival helps Arena of Glory Spring 2025 set new series viewership records
The recently concluded Arena of Glory Spring 2025 has once again brought the popular Vietnamese circuit into the limelight, as the latest edition ended as the series' most successful split to date. It also maintained TikTok's growth as a serious player in the Southeast Asian esports broadcasting market.
The 18th season of Arena of Glory, the Vietnamese professional league of Arena of Valor, saw eight teams vie for spots in the Arena of Valor Premier League 2025 and the popular series' second split (winter season). Held at multiple venues in the country, the spring circuit witnessed some amazing action, capped off by a Grand Final for the ages.

The Arena of Glory Spring 2025 reached 872,648 Peak Viewers (PV) during the pulsating Grand Final between Saigon Phantom and Team Flash, which the former won 4:3 after twice being behind. This clash between two of Vietnam's top AoV esports organizations was a record for the series, beating the numbers set by the AoG Spring 2024 by a whopping 33%.
The event also became the first competition in the series to pass the 800,000 peak concurrent viewers barrier, reiterating Arena of Valor's stature as a growing name in the esports industry.

It helped that the teams participating in the summit clash were the ideal opponents for each other. Saigon Phantom is the series' most dominant team, while Team Flash is one of the game's most legendary names, who returned to the summit clash after a long gap, having endured a few inconsistent years, making this the perfect game to create a new milestone.
Their combined reputations also meant that clashes between these two sides filled the table for the most popular matches. This has been one of the features of the Arena of Glory series since 2024, as the additional group stage has seen participants, especially the big names, battle multiple times within the same season.

The higher number of games also means that the general watch time of these Arena of Valor tournaments has been higher, meaning the last few splits have reached series records. The 28.8 million Hours Watched (HW) that the AoG Spring 2025 touched was a new record as well, with the next best entry falling behind by around 8%.
The sheer number of close matches (all four Playoffs games finished with a 4:3 scoreline) also meant that audience interest remained high throughout.

Most crucially, there was the additional narrative of Team Flash, who many would call the fallen giant of this regional circuit, trying to regain its glory years. Having last won a split in 2021, the only team to ever claim the Arena of Valor Grand Slam (four competitions in the same year) has not enjoyed the best of times recently.
However, it made it to the Grand Final here after four years, putting in some impressive displays along the way. This recent upturn in fortunes could spell good news not only for the viewership of Arena of Glory but also for global championships like the Arena of Valor Premier League and the Arena of Valor International Championship.
There was also a significant increase in the number of channels covering this split, led by TikTok's growth from 22 channels at the Winter 2024 split to 38 this time around. The video-sharing application also maintained its position as the second most preferred platform for fans to catch the action live, hoovering up around 23.7% of the event's cumulative watch time.
Arena of Valor continues to position itself as one of the top mobile esports games, especially in Southeast Asia. Led by the passion of fans from regions like Vietnam and Thailand and its development on popular platforms like TikTok, the game is slowly developing a more global appeal, which can only mean more competition within the mobile esports market.
