The final game of BLAST Premier Bounty Season 2 2025 wrapped up on August 17 in Malta. The tournament drew thousands of Counter-Strike fans and set a new milestone for the Mongolian language in esports. However, the event fell short of surpassing the audience reach from Season 1

The most intense quarterfinal in Malta was the clash between Team Vitality and Team Liquid. While the French squad secured a 2:0 victory, both maps went through multiple overtime rounds.

In the semifinals, Vitality was stunned by The MongolZ, whereas Team Spirit cruised past MOUZ with both series ending 2:0. In the grand final, Team Spirit outclassed The MongolZ, sweeping the best-of-five in just three maps. Team Spirit is at the top of its game right now, and after its IEM Cologne 2025 triumph, the team continues to dominate the competitive scene.

BLAST Premier Bounty Season 2 2025 Viewership Stats

BLAST Premier Bounty Season 2 2025 generated 17.4 million Hours Watched, a 21.8% drop compared to Season 1 earlier this year. Peak viewership, however, saw a slight uptick, hitting 800,284 concurrent viewers. With that, the event secured a spot in the top 10 Counter-Strike tournaments of 2025, ranking behind the likes of BLAST Rivals Spring 2025 and BLAST Open Spring 2025.

The grand final between Team Spirit and The MongolZ was the most watched match of the event. Only two matches exceeded 500,000 Peak Viewers, compared to four in Season 1. In the past, viewership was more evenly spread, but in Season 2, nearly all the spotlight was on Team Spirit, which dominated both total watch time and average viewership per match.

Comparing Season 2 of BLAST Premier Bounty 2025 to Season 1 reveals some clear viewership trends. YouTube is becoming an increasingly popular streaming platform, with its share of total watch hours rising from 27.9% to 41.1%. Streams on Kick also performed well, accounting for roughly 2% of total tournament hours in Season 2. While still far behind the top platforms, this is ten times higher than Season 1. Much of Kick’s growth came from Alexandre “Gaules”’ Chiqueta, as he recently began broadcasting on the green platform.

Mongolian emerged as a standout language, with streams accounting for roughly 4.2% of the tournament’s watch time, placing it in the top five. Peak viewership for Mongolian streams hit 114,500, setting a new record for the Mongolian language in esports across all games.

Most popular BLAST events in 2025

The BLAST Premier YouTube channel deserves special mention: it saw substantial growth over Season 1 and posted the highest peak viewership among all channels covering the tournament. Among community casters, Gaules once again led in popularity, with his Twitch, YouTube, and Kick channels combining for roughly 2.5 million HW, accounting for 14.4% of the tournament’s total watch time.

The next event in the series is BLAST Open Fall 2025, scheduled for September 5-7 at London’s OVO Arena Wembley. With a $330,000 prize pool, the tournament will host only six teams, each earning its spot via a closed qualifier.
