Team Vitality’s historic win powers BLAST Rivals Spring 2025 to record viewership
Team Vitality’s dominant form in the current Counter-Strike season shows no signs of slowing down. The French powerhouse claimed its fifth title of the year by winning BLAST Rivals Spring 2025, with Dan "apEX" Madesclaire leading the charge. For BLAST, the Copenhagen event proved to be a major success, becoming its second most-watched tournament to date, surpassed only by the BLAST.tv Paris Major.
BLAST Rivals Spring 2025 brought together eight teams: four elite squads from the Valve Global Rankings and four regional qualifier winners. Following a short group stage and playoff bracket, the grand final saw Team Vitality face off against Team Falcons in a tense five-map thriller. Vitality edged out a 3:2 victory, with several maps decided in overtime. Mathieu "ZywOo" Herbaut was named tournament MVP, claiming the 25th MVP title of his career, a milestone no other player in Counter-Strike history has reached.

A fierce new rivalry is taking shape in the Counter-Strike scene, but for now, Falcons have yet to find a way past their dominant rivals. Vitality looks unstoppable: they’ve won five consecutive tournaments, secured a $1,000,000 Grand Slam bonus, and are currently on a 25-match winning streak in official play with no signs of slowing down.
