Esports Organizations Rating 2023 by English Viewership
Esports Charts has compiled rankings of the most popular esports organizations among English-speaking viewers in 2023. English serves as the primary language for the majority of official esports broadcasts; based on this data, one can estimate the popularity of a team, particularly in the Western regions, primarily Europe and North America.

The rating is built upon statistics of English-language broadcasts from esports tournaments that took place in 2023. English is one of the primary languages used in esports broadcasting and is the official language for coverage of most competitions, especially those held in North America and Europe. The statistics of the English language help evaluate the popularity of a particular team primarily among the Western esports audience.

Team Liquid and G2 Esports are in the lead
Team Liquid claimed the top spot in the rankings, followed by G2 Esports, with both organizations significantly pulling ahead of their closest competitors in esports watch time. Worth noting that both Team Liquid and G2 Esports are very affluent organizations, with the financial means to maintain strong rosters across all key esports titles, including Counter-Strike, Dota 2, League of Legends, and Valorant.
In 2023, Team Liquid made it to the finals of all Dota 2 Majors and secured second place at the Riyadh Masters 2023. As for G2 Esports, they clinched victories at IEM Katowice 2023 and IEM Cologne 2023 in Counter-Strike, as well as two split wins in the LEC (League of Legends).
FaZe Clan and T1 make progress in top titles
The third position in the ranking is held by FaZe Clan, an American esports organization known for top rosters from different regions. For instance, its Call of Duty team consists entirely of American players. A strong team from Brazil competes under its tag in Rainbow Six, and FaZe's Counter-Strike lineup features esports athletes from various European countries. It was the FaZe CS roster that demonstrated the best results in 2023: for most of the year, it remained in the top three of the HLTV.org team rankings and even climbed to first place in December. Throughout the year, the FaZe CS team won several international tournaments, including ESL Pro League Season 17, IEM Sydney 2023, and CS Asia Championships 2023. They also earned a million dollars for winning the Intel Grand Slam Season 4.
In the fourth position in the ranking is T1, a popular esports organization from South Korea. Interestingly, its key rosters do not include players from Europe or North America, yet the club enjoys immense popularity among English-speaking audiences due to its success in League of Legends. Last year, T1 became the champion of the 2023 World Championship, setting an esports record for peak online viewership — more than 6.4M viewers simultaneously watched its match against Weibo Gaming.
NAVI, Vitality, EG, Fnatic, and Cloud9 in a tight fight
From the 5th to the 9th position in the ranking is a group of five organizations that showed very close results, ranging from 34 to 36 million Hours Watched. Interestingly, they achieved this through different disciplines.
The French club Team Vitality won the BLAST.tv Paris Major 2023 in Counter-Strike, as well as the RLCS 2022-23 - World Championship. Meanwhile, Fnatic and Evil Geniuses made their mark with strong performances in Valorant: both teams emerged victorious in VCT 2023: Masters Tokyo and Valorant Champions 2023, respectively. As for Cloud9, the team performed well in the LCS league last year and represented North America in international LoL tournaments such as MSI and Worlds.
The Ukrainian organization Natus Vincere didn't secure any significant victories in 2023, but it boasts a large number of foreign fans who followed the games of NAVI's Counter-Strike and Valorant squads.
Gaimin Gladiators and the impact of Dota 2
Closing out the ranking is the European organization Gaimin Gladiators. Interestingly, this is the only club in the top 10 that doesn't have teams in Counter-Strike, League of Legends, or Valorant. However, last year Gaimin Gladiators had a super successful season in Dota 2 — the organization's team won all three Dota Pro Circuit Majors and reached the finals of The International 2023. Essentially, all of Gaimin Gladiators' English-language watch time was accumulated thanks to one team in a single discipline.
