First title for Gen.G and huge audience — LCK Summer 2022 overview
Last weekend, LCK Summer 2022 held at LoL PARK in Seoul, South Korea, came to an end. The tournament didn't break the spring split record for Peak Viewers, but its viewership numbers looked pretty impressive nevertheless. Whereas the team only finished ninth in LCK Spring 2022, it became the bronze medalist in LCK Summer 2022.

LCK Summer 2022 broadcasts totaled over 66 million Hours Watched and drew 224.2K Average Viewers. The event reached its Peak Viewers number of almost 1.3 million people at the Grand final between T1 and Gen.G. The Top-5 matches of the tournament, according to this metric, consists of only T1 games, which is the most popular LoL team both in the region and in the entire world.

LCK Summer 2022 is the third most popular tournament in the Korean league, behind LCK Spring 2022 and LCK Summer 2021 in terms of Peak Viewers by 5.7% and 1.2%, respectively. Moreover, the tournament is among the Top-3 LoL events in 2022 at the time of publication, second only to Mid-Season Invitational 2022 and LCK Spring Split.

2022 World Championship runs from September 29 to November 11. South Korea has both T1 and Gen.G qualified for the tournament so far, and two more teams will be determined by the LCK Regional Finals, scheduled for September 1-3.
