MLMS Season 1 debuts successfully despite S8UL Esports' finals absence

The ML Masters Series Season 1 concluded on May 10, peaking at over 20K viewers despite the absence of S8UL Esports, the highly popular Indian side who drove the League Stage's viewership, in the Grand Finals.

The MLMS India was established to provide Indian players and teams with an opportunity to compete on the global stage. And its inaugural edition delivered in terms of the action and livestreaming viewership, beating the record for the most popular MLBB event held in India multiple times.

According to Esports Charts, the ML Masters Series Season 1 reached 21,046 Peak Viewers during the Grand Finals between True Rippers and GodLike Esports. The two powerhouses, among the most famous Indian esports organizations, put on a show for the local audience, with the former eventually clinching a hard-fought 3:2 victory.

A look at the League Stage results showed that S8UL Esports was far ahead of the pack in driving audience interest. And after it fell to GodLike Esports in the Semifinals, there would have been fears of the viewership for the finals not matching its potential.

However, that was not the case, as True Rippers and GodLike Esports went blow for blow in a topsy-turvy best-of-five encounter that went the distance. Eventually, True Rippers edged this series to claim the tournament win, with their match becoming the first in Indian Mobile Legends: Bang Bang esports history to surpass the 20K PV mark.

The ML Masters Series Season 1 also accrued 140,780 Hours Watched (HW) and averaged 2,616 viewers (AV). Both set new marks for a still fledgling Indian Mobile Legends: Bang Bang ecosystem, where the game was introduced only recently under a local version, Moba Legends: 5v5!

Alongside taking home $18 000, True Rippers booked its flight to the MLBB Mid Season Cup 2026, which is part of the Esports World Cup 2026. The second international in-season major for the annual MLBB esports season will see 25 of the world's best sides duke it out for a $3 million prize pool and crucial Club Championship points at the EWC.
