Even as we gear up for the mid-season point in the esports seasons of many titles, three prominent names dominated the watch time table in April 2026. League of Legends, Counter-Strike, and Mobile Legends: Bang Bang all had one side each breach 10 million Hours Watched (HW) last month, but it was the Riot Games MOBA that topped the charts.

A lot of prominent esports competitions were held last month, but T1 just about managed to top the table. Arguably the most popular side in the industry across titles made good use of this reputation, racking up 11.68 million HW to edge past CS2 powerhouse Team Vitality.

Despite competing in just one event, T1 was able to top this leaderboard as it played the most matches among the top three teams at nine. The second-placed Team Vitality was involved in eight games across two tournaments, winning both and putting up higher peak concurrent viewership numbers than the LCK heavyweight.

A special mention must also go to RRQ Hoshi, the iconic Indonesian side that is MLBB's most popular name. This fact was reiterated during the ongoing MPL Indonesia Season 17, where it has emerged as a certified audience driver by helping the event attract over 2 million concurrent viewers despite going on a seven-game losing streak.

Returning to the team in the top spot for this article, T1 began the month with a loss to KT Rolster in the opening match of the LCK 2026 Season, also a repeat of the 2025 World Championship finals. Lee "PerfecT" Seung-min & team's victory in the legendary "telecom wars" also avenged its Worlds heartbreak.

T1 versuls KT Rolster surpassed 823K Peak Viewers (PV), putting the latest LCK season among the most popular esports competitions this year. The League of Legends world champion follows this up with two losses and two wins, with one of these defeats coming to the regional arch-rival Gen.G.

Lee "Faker" Sang-hyeok & Co then went on a four-match winning run that steadied the ship in terms of its placing on the regular season table and ended the month on a high. Intriguingly, the most popular match in this run of nine games last month was the clash with another popular Korean side, Dplus KIA, which peaked at 964,325 viewers.

At the end of Week 5 of the LCK 2026 Season, T1 sits in the fourth spot on the regular season table with a 6:4 record, while Gen.G is third after racking up a 7:3 record. KT Rolster joins Hanwha Life Esports in the top two, something not many fans would have foreseen before the league began.

T1 in April 2026 got off to a satisfactory start in the LCK 2026 Season, although finding itself in fourth, below Gen.G, would not have been the most ideal of scenarios. In May, the three-time defending world champion will balance domestic obligations with the League of Legends at Esports World Cup 2026 Korea Qualifier, so it remains to be seen where it finishes in the next ranking in this series.
