Most Popular Esports Tournaments Among French-Speaking Viewers in June 2022

Earlier, Esports Charts presented the general top tournaments for June 2022 with an inclusive ranking for English-speaking viewers, and also named the most popular tournaments of the month in the Portuguese-speaking segment. In the new article, we will tell you which esports events were the most popular among the French-speaking audience.

In June, the French-speaking esports fans were mainly attracted by the tournaments connected to the local streaming stars: Kamet0 and ZeratoR.

The most popular tournament of the month was LFL Summer 2022, which attracted more than 206K Peak Viewers during the match between Karmine Corp and Misfits Premier. Holding the third spot was VRL 2022 France: Revolution Stage 2 with 146.6K Peak Viewers at Karmine Corp vs. Team Vitality match. It should be reminded that both matches of the esports organization Kamet0 took place on June 21 during the KCX 2 offline event, the results of which can be found here.

The second most popular event was ZrT Trackmania Cup 2022 from ZeratoR. The tournament attracted more than 180.5K Peak Viewers – this mark was reached during the second semi-final. Note that the event gathered more than thrice more Peak Viewers than Trackmania Grand League World Cup 2022. Read more about it here.

The rest of the tournaments from the top 5 were not covered by the top French streamers and the audience attracted was naturally several times smaller. In June, RLCS 2021-22 Spring Split Major reached the Peak Viewers mark during the quarterfinals of the upper bracket between Karmine Corp and G2 Esports, while the most-watched match of LEC Summer 2022 in June was the confrontation between Team Vitality and Excel Esports.

ZeratoR became the most popular among the French-language Twitch channels broadcasting esports events in June. The Trackmania tournament was streamed only on his channel. Nearly the same number of Peak Viewers was gathered by Kamet0 during the above-mentioned match of his team against Misfits Premier at LFL Summer 2022.

The otplol_ channel, which broadcasts LoL matches in French, gathered almost 75K Peak Viewers during the Karmine Corp vs. GameWard match. The fourth most popular channel was MGG_FR, which gathered 15.7K Peak Viewers during the BLAST Premier Spring 2022 Finals match between NAVI and Team Vitality. Closing the top 5 esports channels of the month was KennyStream, whose broadcast of the match between Team Vitality and Karmine Corp in the lower bracket of RLCS 2021-22 Spring: EU Regional Event 3 gathered just over 15K Peak Viewers.

Also held in June was the Twitch Rivals event for Teamfight Tactics from streamer Shaunz, which gathered more than 16.8K Peak Viewers. The tournament could have been in the top 5, but we excluded it from the ranking, as it was a competition held purely between the streamers.
