The tournament's opening day saw a significant increase in viewership statistics compared to the previous Masters event. On the first day of VCT 2024: Masters Madrid, matches generated 2.9M Hours Watched, marking an 8% increase compared to the first day of VCT 2023: Masters Tokyo. The number of stream viewers also notably surged — average viewership rose by 66%, while peak viewership increased by 70%.

The most popular match of the first day of VCT 2024: Masters Madrid was the series between the Korean team Gen.G and the Brazilian squad LOUD — this matchup drew 642.6K Peak Viewers. LOUD's participation contributed to a staggering 400% increase in viewership on Portuguese streams compared to the first day of Masters Tokyo.

There was a significant rise in English-language viewership as well — marking a 47% increase compared to the previous tournament. This growth can be attributed to more convenient time zones for European fans. However, this same factor (along with the fact no Japanese team qualified for the event) led to a decline in viewership on Japanese streams.
