Results of regional qualifiers for VCT Stage 3 Masters Berlin
In August, the regional qualifiers for the VALORANT Champions Tour 2021 Stage 3 Masters Berlin took place. Based on the results of the competition, 16 teams have received invitations to the championship.
Teams from seven regions (North and Latin America, Brazil, South Korea, Japan, Southeast Asia, and EMEA countries) took part in the regional qualifiers (called Challengers Playoffs) and the pre-qualifiers for them. The Challengers Playoffs matches were played in a single-elimination format with elimination after two defeats.

The first matches of the Challengers Playoffs took place on August 6th, and the event lasted until August 22nd. This period amounted to 35.17M Hours Watched. European and North American viewers were responsible for most of this figure, accounting for 32.93% and 29.33% of all Hours Watched, respectively.
The second spot was taken by the Japanese audience responsible for 15.44% of Hours Watched of VCT 2021 Stage 3 Masters Berlin. The top 5 based on this indicator also included the fans of teams from Brazil and Southeast Asia, who were responsible for 6.58% and 5.86% of Hours Watched for the regional qualifiers, respectively.

When it comes to qualifiers for the VCT 2021 Stage 3 Masters Berlin, a near entirety of Hours Watched came from Twitch, which was responsible for 79.2% of the indicator. Also standing out among the participants in the North American qualifiers were XSET and Team Envy. However, their indicators are almost two times lower than those of Sentinels and 100 Thieves – as the matches played by the teams gathered only 74.6K and 70.2K Average Viewers, respectively.
The top 10 most popular teams also included three representatives of Japan (ZETA DIVISION, Crazy Raccoon, and Northeption), two European teams (Team Liquid and G2 Esports), and one Turkish team (BBL Esports). The matches with their participation were watched by 65K to 80.8K Average Viewers.

Comparison with VCT Stage 1 and VCT Stage 2
Overall (and statistics of the LAN finals in Reykjavik aside) VCT 2021 Stage 3 qualifiers had much more viewer activity than VCT 2021 Stage 1 and VCT 2021 Stage 2 qualifiers.
The event is leading in terms of Hours Watched (exceeding Stage 1 and Stage 2 by 61% and 51%) and Average Viewers (by 49% and 4%, respectively). It should be taken into account that the competition was on the air by 7% and 44% longer than its predecessors, respectively.

VCT 2021 Stage 3 was behind VCT 2021 Stage 1 and VCT 2021 Stage 2 only in terms of Peak Viewers. In this case, the indicator amounted to 289.9K viewers, as opposed to 377.7K and 367.7K viewers of the previous stages, respectively.

The matches of the VALORANT Champions Tour 2021 Stage 3 Masters Berlin main stage will be held during September 10-19th in Berlin. 16 teams that have made their way through the regional qualifiers will compete for the prize pool (of still unknown size), ranking points, and a ticket to the VALORANT Champions 2021 LAN tournament.
