We have already provided an overview of the main competitions of the season – and this means it is time to shift our attention to the achievements of the smaller tournaments. You've probably already guessed that we are talking about the minors, the winners of which complete the lists of the majors' participants.
Unlike the previous article, in which nearly every event had something distinguishing about it, here we have a slightly different approach. StarLadder ImbaTV Dota 2 Minor was definitely the weakest event, popularity-wise. At the same time, the top spot of the ranking can be safely given to DreamLeague Season 10. Now let's talk about this in more detail.
Roughly, everything happens like the described above, and DreamLeague can be called the best due to being able to collect 77 thousand viewers at average and 228 thousand viewers at the peak. According to such figures, the minor from StarLadder and ImbaTV was the worst, their event attracting 48 and 102 thousand viewers, respectively.
If we sort events by the number of viewers at DotaTV, then we will again arrive at the above-mentioned situation. The 10th season of DreamLeague has again managed to stand out by its peak figure, but average viewership-wise the first spot was taken by the Bucharest Minor. At the same time, the worst results of both kinds are once again displayed by StarLadder Minor.
However, the event from DreamHack did not run out of "awards" there are to gather. The competition became the most popular one among the English-speaking community. Scandinavian matches have gathered 31 thousand viewers on average and 68 thousand viewers at the peak. The worst results here were shown by StarLadder ImbaTV Dota 2 Minor, which is quite expected.
The Russian-language broadcast has also managed to stand out with its peak figure of 118 thousand viewers. We will remind you that in the 10th season among those fighting for the first spot were the legends of the CIS community represented by Na`Vi. The new roster (and even without Dendi) could not help but attract the attention of the fans from its home region.
We shouldn't overlook the fact that the Swedish tournament was also the event with the "longest" duration. Its broadcast took a total of 38 hours, while The Bucharest Minor became the "fastest" championship with its 23 hours of broadcasts. Of course, this is without taking into account the repeats and similar miscellaneous activities.
OGA Dota PIT Minor 2019 was quite notable by supporting a large number of languages, with the extra German and Mongolian broadcasts. The least language variety was displayed by the Kiev event.
As a result, it can be said that the first minor has managed to collect all the achievements, distinguishing itself with extremely positive results that no one has managed to overcome since then.
