Valve announces Dota Pro Circuit 2022/2023 season schedule

Aug 03, 2022 2 分 読み

Valve has announced Dota Pro Circuit 2022/2023 dates and a new format of the season. Esports Charts tells how the Dota 2 esports scene will look next year.

The main difference between next season and the current one is the shortened duration of the regional leagues. Now they will last three weeks instead of six. Valve has actually listened to the requests of clubs and made the originally stretched format more compact. The interval between seasons will now be a little longer, and thus participants will have more time to rest or make substitutions in lineups. Also, third-party tournament operators will be able to hold their own offseason tournaments without schedule overlap with the league from Valve.

According to the dates of the end of the summer season, we can assume that Valve wants to move the main tournament of the year and hold The International again in late summer, as it was before the coronavirus pandemic. The company has not yet officially announced its plans about it.
