The Esports Awards 2024 ceremony, held in Riyadh, celebrated the top achievements in the esports industry. The award for Best Esports Game went to Valorant, while Malr1ne was recognized as the Esports Breakthrough Player of the Year, and Rivers_gg took home the award for Best Streamer.
In the Esports Content & Coverage Platform of the Year category, the Ukrainian analytics service Esports Charts received another nomination. However, this year the top award went to our colleagues at Liquipedia. The Esports Content Group of the Year award was won by the esports organization S8UL Esports, and scump was named Esports Personality of the Year. The Esports Awards 2024 were streamed live on the official Twitch, YouTube, and Kick channels of the award show, with peak viewership hitting 92.3K PV. Besides the official streams, several community casters, including 8bit Goldy, S8UL, and scump, also broadcast the ceremony. Among them, 8bit Goldy's channel garnered the highest viewership, attracting 43.2K PV.
This year, the Esports Awards ceremony was less popular compared to last year, with fewer hours watched and lower average viewership. Esports Awards 2023 achieved 362,500 hours watched and reached a peak of 95,400 concurrent viewers. The event was broadcast on 19 different channels across Twitch, YouTube, and Kick.
