Kicking off on April 2, the LCK 2025 Season is finally here. Since the season-opening LCK Cup 2025, Korean fans of League of Legends have been patiently waiting for their regional action. The time for waiting is over, and Esports Charts is here to present a thorough watch guide for the world’s forefront LoL esports circuit.
LCK 2025 Season Tournament Page
Departing from the traditional seasonal split, the Korean LCK has consolidated itself into a single, continuous split for the 2025 season. Throughout the year, the LCK 2025 Season will span multiple rounds and stages, fitting around the global calendar of international events. Following the highly popular LCK Cup, the first and second rounds of the groups will soon kick off.
LCK 2025 Season Schedule
We mentioned briefly that the LCK has now been consolidated into one season, but how does this actually look?
-
Rounds 1-2, Apr 2–Jun 1
-
Road to MSI (separate tournament), Jun 7–15
-
Rounds 3-5, Jul 23–Aug 31
-
Play-In, TBA
-
Playoffs, TBA
Under the new system, the LCK is made up of five rounds. Rounds 1-2 seed out the top six teams across nine weeks, leading up to the Road to MSI stage. While the Road to MSI tournament is separate from the Season itself, it still fits into the overall calendar of the LCK’s events. At the mid-season event, teams will compete for Mid-Season Invitational and Esports World Cup qualification spots.
Rounds 3-5 then lead to the Play-In stage of the LCK, and finally, Playoffs. The overall LCK Season 2025 podium finishers qualify directly to this year’s Worlds, placing high stakes on the final matches of the season. While dates aren’t announced yet, the latest the final matches could take place is early October, according to the LoL esports official schedule.
All and all, the new LCK format brings a year of esports action under one umbrella. The new singular season to span the entire year differs from how other regions around the world are operating; South Korea has always been a trailblazer in the League of Legends industry, and their new innovation here may catch on in the coming years. The LCK is coming off a series of monumental viewership results, and their modernized 2025 system sets a high expectation for their viewership this year.
LCK 2025 Season Broadcasts
The LCK’s matches will be broadcast across a multitude of official channels in various languages. Included among these broadcasts will be some of the MOBA’s largest global audiences, with many official streams available on the livestreaming platform of your preference.
Of course, plenty of League of Legends co-streamers and enthusiasts will follow the action, too. The LCK Cup earlier this year was streamed by almost 100 total channels, so keep an eye out for your favorite commentator tuning in to the matches.
LCK 2025 Season Teams
For 2025, the teams remained the same as last year, the only change being DN Freecs acquiring their new sponsorship with the DN Group. Top teams like Hanwha Life Esports and Gen.G already showed their strength at the LCK Cup this year, but T1 still has something to prove. The initial matches of the season between these titan teams will likely receive close to seven-figure concurrent viewers.

So far this year, the LCK Cup 2025 has been the most popular League of Legends tournament. The Korean event was highly watched from both Korean and international audiences, and while the LCK’s regular season could potentially attract fewer international viewers, it still has the potential to reach massive peaks.
Undoubtedly, the upcoming LCK will outperform events such as the EMEA Masters Winters 2025, but the question is how quickly it can reach 1,000,000 viewers. On April 4, the third day of the first week, T1 will finally take the stage against DRX. Later in the week, T1 and Gen.G will also face off on April 6. Both of these matches have the potential to reach over a million viewers, so keep an eye on these as they take place.

Last year, the LCK recorded its strongest results ever, and the opening LCK Cup this year also put a good step forward. Ideally, the new LCK singular season will be able to match these million-viewer peaks multiple times throughout the year. With its various rounds split around the global calendar, 2025 can uniquely offer high-stakes qualification matches months apart.
Esports Charts will track and supply data for the LCK Season 2025 throughout its long season. From the opening rounds leading up to the MSI to the final clutch moments qualifying for Worlds, we will collect viewership data on the world’s leading League of Legends circuit.
