On July 19, Riyadh Masters 2023 (Dota 2) will start in Saudi Arabia with a prize pool of $15 million. It will be the largest third-party tournament in the history of the discipline; it even surpassed several events in The International series — organized by Valve — in terms of prize pool. Here’s how to follow the penultimate event of Dota 2 esports season.

Riyadh Masters 2023 will feature 20 teams from all over the world. Some of the participants will start from the group stage, while the majority of rosters will have to go through the Play-In stage first. Representatives of all six Dota Pro Circuit regions will perform at the tournament, including Gaimin Gladiators, the team that won three Majors and two seasons of DreamLeague this season.

Riyadh Masters 2023 broadcasts

The Riyadh Masters 2023 broadcasts will be available in various languages and platforms. The tournament will be covered on both official channels and community caster channels.

Schedule and format of tournament:

July 19 - July 20 — Play-In Stage

  • Two groups of six teams each. Single round-robin (bo2). Eight teams advance to the group stage; 

July 21 - July 24 — Group Stage

  • Two groups of eight teams each. Single round-robin (bo2);

July 25 - July 30 — Playoffs

  • Double-elimination bracket (bo3). Grand Final is bo5.

The first Riyadh Masters Dota 2 tournament was held in 2022. Then 10 invited teams competed for a prize pool of $4M, and PSG.LGD from China became the champion.

Riyadh Masters 2023 brought together the best teams of the season. Among them are the winners of DreamLeague Season 19 and DreamLeague Season 20, as well as participants in the regional EPT ratings and European qualifier champions. This is the last tournament before The International 2023, the main tournament of the current Dota 2 season.
