October 16 marked the end of the tenth season of MPL Malaysia, one of the main regional MPL leagues for the mobile game Mobile Legends: Bang Bang. The anniversary season was marked by record Hours Watched and Peak Viewers, with the latter growing by almost 100K compared to the previous championship. The editors of Esports Charts are overviewing the results of the event.
Tournament results
MPL Malaysia Season 10 was held in two stages. First, the participants played a series of round-robin matches in the group stage and determined the seeding in the playoffs, after which the champion of the tournament was determined in the double-elimination playoffs bracket.
Team HAQ took the second spot in Group A and, together with TODAK, started the playoff stage from the upper bracket. In the very first round, the future champions from HAQ lost to Orange Esports and dropped to the lower bracket. There it defeated RED Esports MY, RSG Malaysia, and Orange Esports one by one, and in the decisive match they defeated TODAK.
Both finalists will compete at the M4 World Championship, which will be held on January 1-15, 2023 in Jakarta. There, the world’s best teams will compete for a prize fund of $800K.
