The new tournament season of Rocket League kicked off with a sensation: the first open European qualification for RLCS 2024 - Major 1 gathered 413.1K Peak Viewers. This is the best result among all online tournaments of the discipline (including majors) and the second-best result for Rocket League in esports; only last year's RLCS World Championship had more viewers.

The great excitement surrounding the European qualification RLCS 2024 - Major 1 arose because the grand final featured two French teams — Karmine Corp and Gentle Mates Alpine — owned by popular French streamers kamet0 and Gotaga. The final turned into a major French derby, with a huge number of fans supporting each team. The confrontation was intense, and in the end, Karmine emerged victorious with a score of 4:2.
Gotaga's broadcast of the final match attracted 157.2K PV, while kamet0's stream was watched by 134.5K people simultaneously. For comparison, the official English-language broadcast garnered just under 48K PV.
