BLAST becomes Epic Games partner, to organize tournaments Fortnite and Rocket League events
The tournament operator BLAST has announced a multi-year collaboration with Epic Games — starting in 2024, they will be the main organizers for the Fortnite Championship Series (FNCS) and Rocket League Championship Series (RLCS). Additionally, BLAST will now oversee the marketing and commercial rights for broadcasting both leagues.
BLAST is also well-known in the esports community as the organizer of the BLAST Premier franchise league for Counter-Strike and majors for Rainbow Six Siege. As for Rocket League, the primary esports league for this discipline was previously supervised by Psyonix, the game's developer. In recent years, the popularity of Rocket League has been steadily increasing, and its RLCS 2022-23 World Championship became the most popular tournament in the history of the discipline.
