At the end of last week, the participants in World Series 2022 Sentosa were determined. In the tournament, held from February 5 to April 16, the best Brazilian teams competed for the share of 745K BRL (about $158.4K). LOUD won the event, scoring 137 points with two "Booyah!", and earned 105K BRL (about $22.3K), as well as a slot in the Free Fire World Series 2022 Sentosa main event.

Vivo Keyd had 111 points with three "Booyah!" and finished in second place. The team earned 85K BRL (approximately $18K) and also earned a a slot in the Play-In stage of World Series 2022 Sentosa. Lost, a player from LOUD, became the best player of the event's final day, tallying 21 kills in 9 rounds (35% of the team's total).

LBFF 2022 A Stage 1 matches totaled more than 7.8 million Hours Watched and had 87K Average Viewers. At the last round of the Grand final, the event's broadcasts drew 299.8K Peak Viewers.

As expected, Portuguese became the most popular broadcast language of Brazilian league. It is interesting that the few English-language streams drew slightly more than 550 Peak Viewers. We should also mention that the matches of the tournament were broadcast only on YouTube (262K Peak Viewers) and "Booyah! (41.5K Peak Viewers).

LBFF 2022 A Stage 1 was on the air for 89 hours, which is rather a lot (the fifth result in the history of the discipline). Partly due to its duration, the event became the leader of the year by Hours Watched in the discipline, overtaking FFL Latinoamerica 2022 Opening three times by this metric. At the same time, the Brazilian league ranks only third by Peak Viewers.


Most popular Brazilian Free Fire tournaments
Compared to previous tournaments in the series, LBFF 2022 A Stage 1 has less impressive results, ranking sixth by Hours Watched and eighth by Peak Viewers. It shows a significant decline in the popularity of esports Free Fire in the region.

Last year's Free Fire World Series 2021 Singapore drew over 5.4 million Peak Viewers and is still the leader in the entire esports industry by this metric. Free Fire World Series 2022 Sentosa will be held from May 14-21 and may attract far fewer viewers due to the February ban of the game in India.
