A new esports season of Brawlhalla announced with a record prize pool for fighting games
The developers of Brawlhalla revealed details of the upcoming seventh esports season. In 2022, the tournament's participants will compete for the share of the total prize pool, which is $1,32 million.
It is worth noting that in 2019 Brawlhalla had only a $500K prize pool, and in 2021, the sum rose to $1 million. Although in 2022, the prize pool didn’t grow that much, it is still the biggest one in the history of esports fighting games.
The seventh season of Brawlhalla will include four seasonal championships, each with a prize pool of $100K. These prize pools are evenly split between 'singles' and 'doubles' tournaments in five regions.
Seasonal championship prize pool distribution by region (same for 1v1 and 2v2):
- North America — $17,5K
- Europe — $17,5K.
- South America — $10K.
- Australia — $2,5K.
- Southeast Asia — $2,5K.
In addition to the seasonal championships, there will be many other tournaments running throughout the year. Among these are the OMEN Oasis Championship in February, the 3v3 Crew Battle Invitational in March, the Midseason Invitational in June, and the Japan Invitational in September.

Brawlhalla World Championship 2022 will be the culminating event of the season, which will be held in November. The tournament will have a $500K prize pool, which is a record sum for the discipline.
The seventh season of Brawlhalla will kick off with the two-versus-two Winter Championships. In Europe, Australia, Southeast Asia, and South America, the first matches will start on January 29, and in North America on January 30. Everyone can participate by registering on the Brawlhalla Esports league webpage.
Brawlhalla is one of the most watched esports fighting game disciplines. At the end of 2021, it was in the top 2 on Twitch, behind only Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. You can find Brawlhalla tournament viewership statistics here.
