Six November 2020 Major became the finishing Rainbow Six Siege event of 2020. The November tournament was held in 4 regions, with North America becoming the most popular among these. What about the viewer's reaction towards the rest of the regional competitions? Let's take a look.
Six November 2020 Major was held from October 30 to November 29 across four regions: Europe, North America, Latin America, Asia and Oceania. The competition was opened by Latin American teams and closed by Asia and Oceania teams.
In this article, we will tell you about each region separately. Aside from this, we will talk about the results of the event as compared to the performance of the previous championship of the Six Major series, which took place in August this year.
North America is the most popular region of the Six November 2020 Major
Passed Six November 2020 Major North America was held on November 13-15 and had a prize fund of $125 thousand. Only four teams took part in the championship, with three of them entering the competition through the United States League – while another one won the North American regional qualifiers. Team SoloMid became the event’s victor, defeating Spacestation Gaming in the final.

Compared to the series’ previous tournament, Six November 2020 Major North America shows mixed results. The peak viewers indicator has a negative trend of 17%. Meanwhile, the average viewers' indicator shows a 51,4% worth positive trend. Out of these two indicators, the average viewers one is more important, given that it reflects the general viewer interest in the tournament – as opposed to stating a number of viewers (however large) that encompasses merely one second of a single match.

Overall, the tournament had broadcasts in six languages, with English being the most popular one (which is a given for an American competition). Portuguese became the championship’s second most popular language based on hours watched. This was caused by having a nice schedule that was quite fitting for the Brazilian audience. It should be reminded that there are lots of R6 Siege fans in this country.
Team SoloMid became the most popular of the four teams participating in the tournament. The matches of TSM attracted a total of 63 thousand average viewers. Additionally, the team participated in the three most popular matches of Six November 2020 Major North America, as well as in its second final of the Six Major online tournament series already.
Europe
The tournament for teams from Europe and the CIS was held on November 6-8. The prize pool of $125 thousand was divided between the four teams that entered the competition through the European League 2020. Out of these, the Russian Team Empire came out on top by defeating BDS Esport in the final of the tournament with a crushing score.

Unlike the American tournament, the indicators of Six November 2020 Major Europe showed a decrease compared to the series’ previous tournament. Compared to the Six August 2020 Major Europe, the European event lost 13% and 2,4% in terms of peak and average viewers, respectively.
This decrease is partly to blame on the players of G2 Esports, who failed to qualify for the championship this time. Given that there are many fans of the “samurai” among the discipline’s viewers, to some of them, the tournament without the participation of this team is not that interesting.

The tournament was broadcasted in nine languages. English brought the competition 66% of total hours watched, therefore becoming the most popular language. In the case of the Spanish-language broadcasts, hours watched went up 19,6% compared to the series’ last tournament. This allowed the language to become the third most popular one in Europe.
French and Russian are made more interesting by the fact that the tournament was attended by two Russian teams and two French teams. Despite this, the broadcasts for these countries were at about the same level of popularity. This suggests that the participation of certain teams does not affect the popularity of the event among their “home audience.”
Latin America
Unlike the previous two regions, the tournament for Latin America was divided into smaller competitions for Brazil and Mexico. There was no tournament for the rest of South America, and the season’s ranking points were received by the winners of Campeonato Sudamericano 2020.

The Brazilian tournament was the more popular of the two, with its final being watched by 67 thousand peak viewers. Also, when compared to the previous competition in the series, the peak and average viewers of Six November 2020 Major Brazil were improved by 13% and 8%, respectively.
In turn, the Mexican tournament has shown a positive trend only in terms of average viewers, with an increase of 8% compared to the August competition. Meanwhile, the peak viewers of Six November 2020 Major Mexico decreased only by 3%.
Ubisoft has already announced Rainbow Six Siege - Six Invitational 2021. The tournament was usually held in Montreal, but this time the coronavirus epidemic caused the teams to battle it out in Europe. While the tournament will be the first offline event since the beginning of the pandemic, whether the viewers will be actually present is still a question.
