Korea and Brazil might reflect two opposite ends of the spectrum on this planet in a lot of ways, but one thing that is common between these two proud nations is their love for all things video games. The pair represent two of the most significant markets for a lot of disciplines and their esports scenes, not least in the shooting and MOBA genres.

All viewership statistics listed in this article are taken from data based on English broadcasts from Twitch, YouTube, TikTok, SteamTV, Trovo, Kick, Facebook, Naver, and AfreecaTV, among other platforms.

When it comes to Portuguese audiences, they are famous for their love of FPS titles like Counter-StrikeFree Fire, Valorant, and PUBG Mobile. Koreans, meanwhile, love their strategy video games where two teams of players duke it out on a predefined battlefield. With that in mind, here are five of the most popular esports competitions among each region's viewers during 2023, starting with the South American country.
