EWC reveals 2026 Partner Program clubs as Karmine Corp and LOUD miss out
The Esports World Cup Foundation has officially launched the third edition of its Club Partner Program, confirming the 40 professional gaming organizations selected for the Esports World Cup 2026. The updated list indicates a shift in the program’s membership, as several prominent organizations from the previous year failed to secure a position in the current cohort. This turnover allowed for the introduction of new participants into the partner ecosystem.
Selection сriteria and сompetitive merit
The composition of the 2026 program was determined through a rigorous evaluation process that balanced historical performance with future growth potential. Unlike previous iterations, the 2026 selection involved two distinct pathways for entry.
Eight organizations received direct invitations based on their final standings in the 2025 EWC Club Championship. These invitations rewarded consistent competitive excellence across multiple gaming titles during the prior calendar year. The remaining 32 positions were filled through an open application process that attracted more than 150 applicants from across the globe.
The updated roster reveals substantial structural changes to the program’s partnership base. Several high-profile organizations that maintained partner status during the previous season have lost their standing in the 2026 cycle. Notably, Karmine Corp and Gaimin Gladiators are no longer included in the official partner list. Other globally recognized brands, including LOUD and FaZe Clan, are also missing from the 2026 lineup.

Financial framework and resource allocation
The financial scope of the 2026 Club Partner Program involves a total allocation of $20 million. Under the current terms, each of the 40 selected clubs is eligible to receive funding of up to $1 million for the season. This capital is intended to bolster the internal operations of the clubs, allowing them to invest in player welfare, coaching staff and content production facilities.
Since the inception of the program and the associated Club Championship three years ago, the EWCF has distributed a total of $100 million to participating organizations. The 2026 funding model prioritizes the expansion of club brands and the pursuit of new audiences. Beyond direct cash infusions, the program offers strategic guidance and provides clubs with international exposure through the Foundation's various media channels and event platforms.
Global reach and demographic impact
The 2026 program demonstrates a high degree of geographical variety. The selected organizations represent North America, Europe, Latin America, the Middle East and North Africa (MENA), China, South Korea, Southeast Asia and India.
The Foundation estimates that the 40 partner clubs collectively command a global audience of over 300 million fans. By partnering with organizations that possess significant cultural capital in their respective regions, the EWCF aims to deepen the connection between local gaming communities and the international competitive circuit. The program focuses on "storytelling" as a means of development, encouraging clubs to highlight the individual journeys of their players and the specific identities of their teams to foster greater viewer loyalty.
The qualification mandate and competitive integrity
A critical condition of the Club Partner Program is the separation of financial partnership from competitive access. Membership in the program does not grant an organization an automatic berth in the Esports World Cup 2026 tournaments. All partner clubs must secure their participation through the established "Road to EWC" qualification pathways.
This requirement ensures that the competitive integrity of the World Cup remains intact. Organizations must compete against non-partner teams in open and closed qualifiers to earn their place on the main stage.
Esports World Cup 2026 will mark the third edition of the series. The multi-title event is set to return to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, running from July 6 to August 23. Read the full breakdown of the event, including new and returning titles, prize pool changes and more.
