Arena of Glory Spring 2024 set a new series record for peak viewership on broadcasts
Arena of Glory Spring 2024 made waves by breaking its record for peak viewership, amassing over 656.5K concurrent viewers on its broadcasts. Not stopping there, the event also saw its TikTok presence soar, with a significant uptick in hours of views on the platform.
This edition of Arena of Glory marked the beginning of the seasonal tournaments for the year in Vietnam's professional gaming scene. Competitors vied for coveted spots in both the Arena of Valor Premier League 2024 and the winter season of Arean of Valor. Notably, AOG Spring 2024 introduced a fresh format, incorporating an additional group stage. This change allowed participants to face off multiple times within the same season, adding a new dynamic to the competition.
Emerging victorious from the intense battles was the Saigon Phantom team, clinching the title in a thrilling final match against One Star Esports with a score of 4:3. Despite trailing 3:1 during the series, Saigon Phantom executed a stunning reversal to secure the win.
For fans of the mobile gaming scene, Saigon Phantom's dominance hardly came as a surprise. With a remarkable six-season winning streak out of a total of eight, they have solidified their status as the region's top team. Notably, Saigon Phantom has consistently faced off against the same opponent in the grand finals for the past six seasons. This trend persisted even after former V Gaming players joined forces to create One Star Esports in February 2024. Thus, the "curse of second place" continued, undeterred by team changes.

The Arena of Glory Spring 2024 matches accumulated a total of 21.5 million hours watched, reflecting a notable 9% uptick compared to the previous year's spring tournament. Notably, both the average and peak viewership during the broadcasts experienced substantial growth, increasing by 30.8% and 39.4%, respectively.
This spring season set a new record for peak online viewership in the series, particularly evident during the grand final clash between Saigon Phantom and One Star Esports, which drew in over 656.5K Peak Viewers. This achievement surpassed the previous series peak of 644.3K PV during the final match of Arena of Glory Winter 2022.
In comparison to the previous year's spring tournament, Arena of Glory Spring 2024 witnessed a significant expansion in audience engagement on TikTok. Total viewing hours on the platform surged by an impressive 200%, while peak online viewership nearly tripled. Much of this surge can be attributed to the growth of the official channel, caothulienquan.official. Notably, despite these shifts, the overall number of channels covering the tournament remained consistent from the previous year.

In terms of total viewing hours, Arena of Glory Spring 2024 secured the second position, while it ranked third for average viewership on its broadcasts. Nevertheless, Arena of Glory Winter 2022 maintains its dominance as the leader in both of these metrics.
