In May 2025, Shanghai will host the Asian Champions League, a new esports series featuring several popular titles. The total prize pool for the series will be $2,000,000, and the organization will be handled by Hero Esports, a company that helped run some tournaments at Asian Games 2022 and Esports World Cup 2024.

The Asian Champions League 2025 will feature nine tournaments across various games. Some of these tournaments will also serve as qualifiers for the Esports World Cup 2025, set to take place in Riyadh this summer.

The participant lists for the 2025 Asian Champions League tournaments have yet to be announced, but it's already confirmed that several international teams will compete alongside Chinese squads. In the Counter-Strike 2 event, Australia’s FlyQuest and Mongolia’s The Huns Esports are set to participate, while in CrossFire, at least two Filipino teams, ARC Esports and UBECmaniacGT, will be in the fight for the title.
