On return to S-tier pool of regional events, CBLOL 2026 Cup ends as series' second-most popular edition
The CBLOL 2026 Cup, the first event in Brazil's 2026 League of Legends esports season, concluded over the weekend. The winning run of LOUD, which led to its qualification for the season's first global championship, helped it become one of the series' most popular events.
The CBLOL 2026 Cup marked the return of the Campeonato Brasileiro de League of Legends (CBLOL) banner to the top tier of the PC MOBA's regional structure. It brought together six partner Brazilian sides, alongside two other regional teams, as they battled for a prize pool of $20,000 and a slot at the first international competition this year.

LOUD, one of Brazil's most followed esports organizations, emerged as the champion, easing past RED Canids 3:0 in the Grand Final. This series also ended as the event's most popular match, peaking at 443,217 viewers, the second highest in CBLOL's history.

The success of LOUD, founded by renowned Free Fire creator Bruno "PlayHard" Bittencourt, played a massive part in this livestreaming success. The side was part of the four most popular games at the CBLOL 2026 Cup, including its other clash with RED Canids in the Upper Bracket Final. In fact, the top CBLOL tournament by Peak Viewers — CBLOL Split 1 2024 — also saw LOUD come out on top.
Success at the first major LoL event of the year also ensured it became the second-most successful team by wins in the Campeonato Brasileiro, with five victories, one behind the leader INTZ. With this result, LOUD also qualified for the First Stand 2026, the first global event on the 2026 LoL esports calendar. Meanwhile, RED Canids and FURIA Esports, who finished second and third, advanced to the 2026 Americas Cup.

The 2026 Americas Cup will see the second and third-placed sides from the LCS 2026 Lock-In and 2026 CBLOL Cup clash for regional bragging rights. Its first edition will be hosted ahead of the First Stand in São Paulo, Brazil, from March 4 to 8.
Unsurprisingly, Portuguese-speaking audiences formed a bulk of the viewership at the CBLOL 2026 Cup, with YouTube continuing to be the favored platform. Prominent Brazilian League of Legends community caster Gustavo "BaianoTV" Gomes was by far the most followed co-streamer, with his multistreams across YouTube, Twitch and Kick attracting thousands.

Compared to the other leagues that kicked off the season in their respective regions, the CBLOL 2026 Cup stacked up pretty well. It currently sits in third place for the most popular LoL tournament so far this year, with only the Korean LCK and European LEC events surpassing it.
It easily beat the audience numbers achieved by its rival, LCS, yet again. What this means when the two regions' representatives meet in São Paulo later this week remains to be seen, but fans will be confident that the CBLOL's teams will emerge triumphant and get another one over its northern neighbors.
