The Call of Duty League 2024: Stage 4 Major Qualifiers was held online from May 31 to June 23. Although teams near the bottom of the Regular Season points table were scrambling to accrue the required points to qualify for the Call of Duty League 2024: Playoffs, most of the big teams had already sealed their spots, reducing the level of interest among fans.

At the end of seven rounds, Toronto Ultra and Atlanta FaZe topped the charts to take 60 points each into the main event. Both lost only a game each and had remarkably similar stats, with the latter giving up just one map.

The Call of Duty League 2024: Stage 4 Major Qualifiers also registered 3.3M Hours Watched and 51.1K Average Viewers over an airtime of 66 hours. Interestingly, three of the most popular sides at this event did not finish in the top half of the leaderboard, showing once again that the popularity of teams plays as big a role in attracting more viewers as their actual performances at such tournaments.

As seen at the Call of Duty League 2024: Stage 3 Major Qualifiers, the viewership numbers for each subsequent qualifier event have been coming down this year. With broadcasting only happening on YouTube, the audience reach has dwindled, with the record-breaking reach provided by Twitch an obvious miss for the game.

The league continues to bank on the live streams of star co-casters like Scump and ZooMaa Live, with the former regularly outperforming the official broadcast channels. Moreover, the performances of sides like OpTic Texas play a part in attracting more viewers, with their progress to the latter stages usually meaning higher viewership numbers for the competition.

As a result of the audience's lack of interest, the qualifiers for the Call of Duty League 2024: Stage 4 Major did the lowest peak viewership numbers over the last two seasons. However, with the final Major providing an opportunity for teams to seal their places at the world championship, organizer Activision will be confident that interest among viewers for the main event will remain high.

The last Major of the current Call of Duty League season will begin on June 27 and run till June 30. At the end of it all, the eight sides to battle it out for world glory will be finalized, although there will be a minor matter of the Esports World Cup 2024 to come before the season finale.
